Welcome to my page...I hope it encourages you and sparks you on to your own weight loss story! I started my weight loss journey a few years ago at my highest weight of 232 lbs. I began walking and then running. I lost 90 lbs and ran two 5k's last year. I felt great...better than ever. Until..............................

I began feeling very fatigue and having some strange symptoms. I went to the doctor and they found some lesions on my brain, my WBC was low and they made me discontinue all my exercising. Since that day last year, I've been to hematologist and neurologists and they have poked and prodded on me and made no diagnosis thus far. The only thing they haven't ruled out is MS.

When all that happened, I started gaining some weight back due to no exercise and having too much on my mind and not watching what I was eating. I am just getting back on track as of 5/21/12. I've gained about 10 lbs back, so it's time to get serious again. Nothing is going to stop me from reaching all my goal, even no exercise! I may fall, but I'm going to get back up, dust myself off and get on the right track again! 132 here I come!

If I can lose this weight...you can too! Make up your mind to eat less and move more. Don't look back...press forward! And ....the best advice I can give you is ask God for HIS help. With God ALL things are possible, without HIM, we can do NOTHING, so tap into the real power and find your strength to be a conqueror in Christ!

My Goals:
To lose weight to feel better and look better. To have more energy to play with my children and do the work the Lord has called me to do!!

My Program:
To stay within 1000-1200 calories per day. To eat more natural, God intended foods. Eat nothing with High Fructose Corn Syrup in it, eat only Whole Grains...no white, bleached or enriched flour and no white sugar. Drink 8 glasses of water per day. Do at least 30 minutes of cardio each day and 3 days a week do strength training. Get up and move more and as often as possible!

Personal Information:
I am a 39 year old, married, mother of 2 boys (ages 15 & 9). I am the Executive Director of a Crisis Pregnancy Center in NC, where I love sharing God's love with girls and their families that are facing the struggles of an unplanned pregnancy. I also homeschool my children!

Other Information:
I love watching Biggest Loser for weight loss encouragement. I love the book "You on a Diet", it helped me get my weight loss started. I am currently reading "Choose to Lose". Helps me to read healthy stuff...keeps me in a good mind frame. I ran two 5k's last year, but had to put running on hold since some health issues have come into my life. The only exercise I can do is leisurely walking until June 15th. Hopefully then, the doctor will give me the all clear, green light! I'm ready!

Thanks for your support on my 1.2 lb weight gain- I am really ok with it as I have not gone out of my calorie range and really did the best at a wedding I have ever done. I did not have control over my salt- so I am going to weigh again tomorrow or wed- and see if once i flush out I'm doing better. I'm staying strong... emoticon emoticon emoticon

Doln't get discouraged, you can do this. There are such lovely foods out there from this summer that are high in nutrition and low in calories- enjoy the summer! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

A beautiful summer day- I'm going to yoga and see if I can help my 20 lb challenge a bit more today. Very pleased with last week's weigh in- I am almost a quarter through my 20 lb challenge... I am so psyched at being 20 lbs thinner by the end of the summer- wouldn't that be a wonderful thing??

Thanks for the spark goodie. I just loaded up the fridge and freezer with fresh fruits and frozen veggies. I also bought 2 watermelons for the cookout we're having tomorrow.

I was doing well holding out until then, but as soon as I saw the watermelon spark goodie, all bets were off! One of the emoticon are getting sliced tonight!

emoticon on your weight loss so far. I needed the inspiration.
