I lost 40 pounds and very slowly gained it back. I am recommitted to this pursuit of healthy lifestyle and body with commonsense and gentleness to myself.
I will continue on this journey and try to learn from my setbacks and reduce the triggers in my environment. Other close family members being ill being one of them.
I know the benefits of healthy weight and lifesytyle and I will remember them as I go forward.
I will make time for healthy food and exercise healthy.
Jan1/2010 I am hoping to find a way to lose the weight in a healthy maintainable way. I have gained a lot of weight in the last 14 years-after having children and am looking forward to losing it.
I have have learned that weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight will never be an unconsciouss act for me.
I'm so happy and grateful for sparkpeople and I'm here to get the weight off and keep it off and to become more of who I am and have fun and to face the "bad stuff" as it comes up.

We haven't started on the pool set up. No pump is hooked up to it and the winter cover is still on it. My son tries to set it up in April and it is just too cold to swim in and all those chemicals are wasted. This year, I hope, we will do better.

I appreciate your encouraging comment on my "Saturday, Saturday" or "Negatives in life happen. Yes, I'm human too" or "On the road to recovery in many ways" blogs. I hope you will have a wonderful week.

"Often, you can find the keys to successful behavior change by asking yourself what went right when you were successful (instead of asking what went wrong when you failed). Don't spend a lot of time thinking about what went wrong, and avoid using words like always and never when you are talking about your behaviors or their results. Think back to the last time things went the way you wanted, figure out what was different then, and ask yourself how you can make that happen more often."-Dean Anderson, Behavioral Psychology Expert
