Personal Information:
My name is Tina. I live in southwest Indiana with my high school sweetie and best friend and hubby for 42 years. We have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren who are the light of our lives. I like photography and cooking. I have been cooking professionally since 1987 and still love to whip up an interesting meal.

Other Information:
Whose words these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Stopping By Woods On a Snowy Evening written by Robert Frost in 1922

Tina, thank you for the message on my page. I am sorry that you had some complications with the knee surgery. I went for a checkup on May 17 and was told that everything was okay, but I am still feeling pain, especially at night. I am nowhere near being back to normal and cannot stand for more than a few minutes to do jobs like cooking or cleaning. The house is a mess, and meals are super simple. The other day, I pulled a chair up to the counter to dice an onion. So I alternate resting and standing, and this seems to be working for now.

That's why I was distressed to hear that you're going back to an all-day stand-up job on a concrete floor. No! I hope you can find ways to incorporate rest into the day to manage the pain. I hope your legs will soon be back to normal. It is taking longer than anticipated to be pain-free, but I'm still glad I did it and am resigned to the fact that I'll have to go through the same thing on the other knee in October. Old age ain't fun!

It is too bad about SP closing down in its present format. Even for US users, this won't be easy, and it'll be goodbye for the rest of us. I'm pretty sad to be losing what for me has been a source of support and entertainment. Yes, let's keep going as long as they'll let us. Keep us posted about your return to work. I'll be praying for a good outcome for both of us.

Deep listening is miraculous for both listener and speaker. When someone receives us w/open-hearted, non-judging, intensely interested listening, our spirits expand. Sue Patton Thoele
