I'm in it for the long haul I hope. I've never had a plan or accountability in past weightloss efforts, so far SparkPeople just seems to work. My starting BMI was 29 and that's way too close to 'obese' for my liking. I realise BMI is flawed, but its just one of many indicators.

My goal weight is a little arbitrary. Its the weight I was when I was 14 and thought I was overweight. I was fully grown then so that seems reasonable enough. I'll be really excited when i get to my second last mini-goal because it's my lowest adult weight ever. If I could stay there forever, I'd be really happy.
I just want to be healthy for a long time and not suffer the health problems my parents have. I also want to feel great. But I don't need to be skinny for that, just fit. :-)

Quick update: lost 6kg, maintained 5kg weightloss for nearly six months and just want to say that was 2 points off my BMI. So I am getting there even though I feel like staying still for six months was bad, it was in reality going forward because usually its either up or down but not still. Hopefully it'll be down again a little faster now :-)

update: lost no weight but got much fitter. new goal, to get to 64 kg by 20 June for my friend's wedding in Madrid. am excited to do this seriously again.

20 Gym visits by 22/04. -Gym ball for desk. So didn't make that.
20 Gym visits by 31/05 -Gym ball for desk. Still didn't make it.
20 Gym visits by 24 July- Gym ball for desk.
67Kg (147#)-PQ and DG books (back in normal BMI range) DONE!!!!! 4 Sep.
65 (143#) Kg-new runners
64 Kg: 20 June 09 target date:friends wedding
62 Kg (136#) (lowest adult weight)-great jeans
58 (127#) Kg-Party? Holiday? Satisfaction? Hm. Great Underwear.
actually this is a pie in the sky target. it seems impossible that my body could weigh so little.

Completing C25K running programme will be reward in itself. Should happen by end April 09.


My Program:
I'm trying to stay within my calorie limit although its harder in winter.
Work is not fun at the moment so I'mtrying to go to the gym 4 times a week, 3 cardio, 1 pilates and 2 weight sessions(preferably in class setting cos the machines and free weights bore me). I'm also doing the C25K programme, so maybe one day I'll be a runner?!!



Personal Information:
Some milestones I'm trying to keep in mind for motivation:
-late April/May, summer clothes will be needed :-)
-Friend Wedding, June.
-Sister's baby, June.
-Graduation, late July.
-August, 'sparkiversary 1'.
-2010, BF wedding.
