Getting back into it!


I started sparking about 3 years ago and found it to be extremely helpful in losing, maintaining and building a better body image of myself! This past year I fell of the wagon hardcore and have gained back all that I have lost. I am very disappointed and disgusted with myself, but I do know what I need to do!

My Goals:
To get my body back in shape.

To start making healthy food choices again!

My Program:
 Tracking my food everyday (good and bad).

Exercising daily (even if it is just walking the dog)


Personal Information:
I teach math at a high school in my area. I have fought this battle with my weight since I was diagnosed with a thyroid problem at the age of 18.

I have found that I enjoy running and being active outside.

    We have youngest son's family with us for the 4th of July. Tonight was a big grill out with our potter friends. It is pretty hot for old people to walk, unless I walk early. Saw your Aunt Debbie at baby Zai's baptism party mid June. Always enjoy seeing her. emoticon

    Good luck with the job search. I'm glad I could help. Our math department does hire high school teachers without masters for remedial classes.

    For adjuncts, I require a Masters or higher in the field or closely related field. We have made a few exceptions, but usually only for lower level courses and they had significant college level teaching experience (for high school teachers, AP counts) or significant experience in their field.

    I teach at a university, but I know our local community colleges have hired with Bachelors degrees. Check with the school, you never know.
