My name is Lisa and I am 56 years old. I live in Honolulu, Hawaii, the best place on earth, with my husband, Joe. He and I have been married for 30 years and have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.

I've gone to my doctor's for my annual check-up and annual scolding. I have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and a year ago had 2 stints put in. I also injured my hip and had back surgery, and last year i was re-diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I was originally diagnosed with arthritis. All these conditions require medication and I am inconsistent when it comes to taking them. Hence, the scolding.

Among all the challenges that face me, the biggest is to take my medication regularly. This I promise to do.

My Goals:
To be alive in 20 years, and to be mentally, physically and spiritually fit.
By that time, I'd like to. . .
-have gone to the East Coast, USA.
-have gone to at least 2 other countries.
-Celebrated my 50th anniversary with my husband. 4/7/2034

My Program:
Starter Program: DAILY
-Eat 1500-1700 calories.
- 8+ glasses of water.
-Read, read, read articles.
-Connect with my friends and teams.
-Play SP games.
- Continue walking 1 hr. 6x a week plus to church every Sunday.
- add strength training, after reading and charting schedule.
- try 3 new recipes - 1 dessert

Personal Information:
I've been on SP for 1 month and I am very pleased with my fitness program. Starting as a couch potato, I now walk 1 hr. a day and do cardio and stretches - a total of 1.5 hrs. Wow!
For my second month I will add a strength training schedule. I lost a lot of time because I had the flu in the first week of this month. oh well...The best thing I can do on this second week is read all I can about strength training. I purchased barbells, resistance band and a stability ball so I feel equipped to incorporate a variety of strength exercises into my schedule. But First Things First - Read all I can then draft a sensible "beginners" schedule. I probably won't get to actually doing the workout until the third week. If that's the case, it'll be okay. Doing this the right way is what matters to me the MOST!

Other Information:
One Sunday a month, my children and grandchildren all come home for Sunday Dinner. Feb. 8 is this month's date. Game of the night? Pictionary.

My family and friends are going camping next month March 2015 and we're having Sunday dinner there. My youngest daughter will be turning 28 on Sunday, March 22.

Thank you God for blessing me with a wonderful husband, children, their spouses, and their children - aka "ohana"

I have to admit the "romance" of the island wore off after about 3 months. Island fever, I had it. I was able to go the Big Island - Kilauea Volcano/awesome! & Kauai - most beautiful. I did enjoy my days on Queens Beach hanging out on a catamaran - unfortunately I cannot remember the guys name who owned it. I returned to the mainland it was a last-minute trip that was only supposed to be 4 weeks. God had other plans for me & I was able to stay home. I love the changing of the seasons & winter is my fav. Im lovin all the snow - 2' + more on the way .
I'm getting close to retirement & I'm not sure where I want to be. Although it is still afternoon there, aloha ahiahi.
    Blessings ♊

Hi there! Congrats on the weight loss! It always feels good to make progress! Those SP videos are really great. I bookmarked a couple of them that I really enjoy.

I was in Washington, DC for a little bit. I visited some friends and family while there. I took a trip to Atlantic City too. It was so cold though. I kept turning my hotel room thermostat up to 80 degrees and housekeeping kept lowering it! I was like, "Don't you know that 70 degrees is freezing?! Stop lowering it!! =)

With the week ahead, keep up the good work! I hear we are getting a cold front, so stay warm!
