Thanks. I have set a goal of 10,000 steps which I have done for several weeks now. I do it for my heart and blood pressure. However, sometimes I have to push really late at night to get them all. On days like today, when I have been on the road most of the day it is really difficult. Thanks for the other suggestions. I just don't want to feel like a failure by breaking my streak. Report
How interesting to hear from another member (thank you!) that GoogleFit doesn't count a lot of steps. Here I was feeling like a lazy bones despite working a very physical job. I am on my feet walking around almost constantly some days. It's only on the very busiest of days that I get in 10,000 steps according to GoogleFit. I was wondering how anyone with a more sedentary job ever managed getting in 10,000 steps short of spending most of their evening out walking. 'Time to look for a new fitness tracker! It's helpful to see these other benchmarks to go by. Report
I don't take the whole "10,000" steps guideline seriously. As long as I get in 5,000 per day, I'm happy. Some days I do cardio and have more steps and some days is strength training and I have less. It's all good. Report
I have a Tracker that Tracks through VeryfitPro that third-party updates Google fit that coordinates and updates Spark. What I have noticed is that Google fit does not report all the Steps taken. I have had a difficult time removing Google Fit from my Sparkpage so, while I do walk over 10,000 steps a day combined with 50 minutes of good sweating. I use the tracker to track my sleep. I used to have a Spark Tracker that was better at updating the total steps taken. I stick to 9,000 to 10,000 steps a day for a healthy heart. My BP is 80/60 and I have gone from 14 medications to Zero.
