Hi Fabs!
Well today is day 1 for getting back on track after a very rough August - emotionally. I have begun tracking my food again, and plan to exercise again for the first time since the first week of August.
I am pumped and ready to go!
First I will be doing my Biggest Loser workout - the lighter cardio one, since it has been a few weeks.
(not including my 400 stairs five days a week, during work days) emoticon

I'm still doing great getting in 8 hours of sleep a night (with the exception of on 7 1/2 hour night a few nights ago).

Yesterday I only had time for 10 minutes of water jogging. Today I did a lot of heavy cleaning for about 90 minutes and then spent an hour in the pool.

Well, I'm falling off the streaking wagon. My sister's in town and sadly I am using that as an excuse!!! This is bad.
I even had a brownie sundae with her today and a Sonic sundae last night.
Help! I'm going to be a blimp at this rate, and she leaves tomorrow!

Well, the scale is not budging this week, but between birthdays and relative visits (read: eating out)I'm forgiving myself and concentrating on the water and my streak. I need to walk today and then I'll have my three weeks of 5/7 extra cardio days.

Focus on building the habit into my schedule!

Well, work got in the way of my "STREAKS"....I was at 9 days of logging in, but missed the 21st and 22nd. I was also journaling again and had a 6 day streak going, but missed the 21st and 22nd and I did 7 days of 3.5+ mile powerwalks, but missed yesterday and unfortunately will probably miss today too because it is my son's 21st birthday. Not dropping out though....just starting over!

I got in a power walk at lunch emoticon I felt a little gross though as I sweated some thru my shirt and I try not to have that happen as I'm at work. Oh well, it's 80 and the heat index is really high.

I'm happy I got it done! This weather is drying me nuts and causing me to lose about 8 miles a week...I'll never make my mileage goal for the month at this rate!

I'm getting back on the motivated track! I have been consistant with the exercise and even the eating, so my clothes are fitting looser again! I didn't want to focus on my gain and get discouraged, but instead focusing on "keeping up the streak" and the clothes will begin to speak for themselves!
We can do this Fabs!!!

Going good on the exercise this week, but my sister-in-law brought me cake and ice cream to celebrate my birthday. Not what I want or need. I blew the calorie count, but I need to remember that one day does not affect my long term success. I did exercise today more than usual!

I have successfuly completed my two weeks of streaking and am doing my walking this evening around the track. Sticking to the exercise plan. The scale moved up .8 lbs, but I'm not worried because I know it's water weight gain and will be leaving!
Splurged on the food part today 'cause it's my birthday, but keeping to the exercise and water routine.
On to another week!

Did 4 sets of push ups on the 25lb plates.
( take 2 /25lb weights and turn them up on their sides and place your body up over it in a push up position balancing bring your body 1/2 way down and hold the plank then return back/ next do 5 push ups and return to plank counting to 30 then repeat doing 5 more push ups and back to 30 count. Do this 3 sets)
Will burn those arms up plus its a great core workout and balance!

I walked again - that's 5/7 this week, so technically my goal is met for my streak this week, but I expect to walk tomorrow. Saturday I'll be off.

Thanks to whoever started this - it's what I needed, and I've never done a streak before. When my Ipod died this morning on the treadmill, I just thought keep going! Just one more day!

Still exercising every day, but some days I'm really having to make it happen! It's already July 15th, so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I just hope it's not a train.

I snacked a little today... so I just did 15 minutes of various crunches for added measure

My exercise streak is going well, did 15 min. on Friday and 60 min. emoticon on Saturday. It's already Sun. a.m. here in Guam.

I was going to start a "go to bed early streak", but I took a long nap this afternoon, so I'm up late. Hmmm...

I'm checking in! Walked for fifteen minutes again today, even though I had to find the time. When I first joined SP, I wanted to lose 40 lbs. Then I thought I'll do the 10% thing, and I got very discouraged. Then I thought I'll give this one last shot and buy the Spark and see just what SparkGuy was thinking. I decided to focus not on weight loss but on building a habit. That's why it's so important for me to keep up the 15 minutes per day. It's the habit not the 'burn'. I walk alot over the course of a week, but I'm looking to walk consistently so I can eventually get back to running.
Just had to vent...

Well, I'm struggling a bit to find where to start, but I liked the stretching before bed idea, so I'll try that. I met with a personal trainer yesterday to help me start an exercise program that addresses some old injuries/ailments and my first session is next week. I'm hoping that will help me get back on track.

Since I have started a streak of exercise, I think I will continue to do at least 10 mins per day - and to continue to climb my 400 stairs Mon - Fri.

I will do my reg strength training exercise, on my scheduled days, and my cardio days. When I feel spent, that is when the "at least 10 mins per day" will come in!

How about "No Junk Food"?

Seems like there is always something around to munch. I don't bake much; and my boys don't miss it too much, but they do like having the baked chips and pretzals around. I'll include with this things like frozen french fries, tator tots, curly fries . . .Ice cream, cookies, brownies, cake . . . does Dark Chocolate count as junk food? It DOES have some good qualities!!!

Or How about "No Fast Food"?

Since I'm not

It may be the lazy days of summer, but it's time to crank up the heat and start a sizzlin' streak!
emoticon
While you may feel like you would rather lay in a hammock, sipping pina coladas, now is a great time to refocus and get moving in a healthy direction!

So start a summertime streak or several streaks. You can streak for just a week, or even two, but let's see who can keep a streak going for the rest of July!

Need some help getting started? How about...

exercising 30 minutes a day?
getting eight hours of sleep a night?
eating five servings of fruits and veggies a day?
committing to a strength training program?
losing one pound a week?
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
You name it! Check in here on this thread to share your progress.

That's all there is to it.

So let's start sizzling!
