I have tracked faithfully every day this month; so far breakfast & mid-morning for today.
Went over several goals, but in the past I would just not track if I knew I eating wrong.

I totally believe that tracking is going to be a lifelong habit. I don't plan to track "religiously" but I know I'll return to it again and again. I know there will be phases when I don't track - maybe even long periods of several months. While that doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to get off track, or gain weight, in my experience portion sizes tend to grow over time. Twenty grams of cheese might become 30 and a tablespoon can easily become a heaping tablespoon when I'm just eyeballing my food. Tracking brings that back into line, and takes the pressure off.

This wasn't my best week of tracking, but I'm happy with the progress I've been making. I don't plan to rest on my laurels, though. Onward and downward!

It will become a habit, Laura. I've been tracking my food for several weeks now on SP's mobile app....it would feel uncomfortable if I didn't do it.

Tracked everything yesterday...and am tracking truthfully today. emoticon

Still on track...sometimes I donwanna but I do anyway. I confess that Thursday evening, I ate a snack that I did not go back and track. Funny thing is, I couldn't remember what it was, so COULDN'T go back and track it.

I know that I ended the day within all my ranges, though, so it's OK. Just don't want to make that a habit! Have to have a better strategy for those looooooong workdays when I get home so late.

I keep a pretty honest food journal...sometimes I forget to add the bites I take as I try the meals I'm preparing, but for the most part, I've been journaling honestly for a long time and even have some frowns on some of past days...but NO more frowns...all smiles from now on!! emoticon

Yes, you guessed it - it's that time emoticon again - time for our monthly team challenge. Our challenge begins September 1st and runs through September 7th....::::ALL are welcome - the more the merrier! emoticon

This challenge is a "7 DAY ONLY" challenge.
(The next Challenge will begin in October...:::watch for my team Spmail)

Our "September Challenge" will be to TRACK every BLT (bite, lick & taste) for 7 days.
You can track it in a journal, or with an phone app or here at SP....::::however you want to - just be sure to track it ALL. emoticon

Sometimes we think we are not eating much till we start tracking everything that goes into our mouths. The results can be shocking! This week hold yourself accountable for what you are eating. When you write down why you are eating, you may see a pattern. Are there times you are eating when you are NOT hungry? Is it because you are bored, stressed, tired, food was offered to you, or some other reason? This challenge will help us become accountable or if you already are tracking.....help you stay accountable. If you've already got this tracking thing down, then post encouraging suggestions on our thread to boost on others who need a tip.

Let's do this! Hop onto this thread before it begins if you like to ask questions, chat or simply post you are IN! emoticon
