I have another team that I check in with just about every day for my 'social' interactions, and I'm still tracking my food every day, but I haven't been very active with this team - the reason is that I've reached my goal and am now maintaining (!) I'd be open to challenges but don't think I'd be the most active participant. But I'm still here and stop by about once a week.

Thanks, again, to everyone who has responded. Pam and I really do appreciate the input and suggestions. I'm compiling the information to see what the next step will be, so stay tuned!

Being members of the Community Team, we get to see how the process of Class Teams are built, how they function, and what the expectation are. Most Class Teams stay active for 30 - 60 days, while members find their way around the site and join teams that fit their specific needs.

Pam and I feel blessed to still have as many active members as we do and we want to make certain your needs are being met. We are there for you and want to see you succeed. If there's ever ANYthing you need, feel free to stop by our pages, send us a SparkMail, or create a new thread right here on the Class Team!

Here's to our CONTINUED success!

I'm only on a few teams, but this one is by far my favorite. I'd love to see more challenges. Not necessarily daily challenges as with my busy schedule I don't always get to log on everyday, but weekly or longer challenges would be great. Some ideas I would suggest would be lose 5% of your weight during such and such a month or log 500 mile over the next 3 or 4 months (either running, walking, biking, roller blading, cross country skiing, etc). Anything that would keep everyone motivated and coming back here. I also liked the Black and Blue team challenges.

I feel like this team has been in a bit of a slump. I know I have been and I'm really trying to break out of it. I've been doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred workout for the past week and a half.

I agree with those who said they enjoyed the black/blue team, biggest loser type challenges. I tend to get overwhelmed and not do well at anything when things get complicated. I would be interested in weight loss (maybe by %)and fitness minutes challenges, as they fit right in with whatever else I have going on.
I do like to search out teams with my common interests to get involved in.

Thank you, Andrea and Pam for caring about this team, and for all the time you put in here on Spark to help others!!!!

How about something like what was the highlight of your day health/fitness-wise? It could be passing up a temptation, getting in a workout while traveling, losing another inch, etc. Or, how did you spread the Spark today (i.e., motivate someone else). Just some thoughts.

Hi Andrea...Tia summarized my thoughts...I like tracking the fitness minutes but have been doing bootcamps and a 5k running progam...will be moving on to the 10K program....so not really looking for additional challenges at this time....I'm all for getting team reinvigorated but can't say I have any good ideas at this time on how...Sorry I missed this post originally!

Hugs to you and Pam for helping lead us on our journey!

Hi, I got your Email. To be honest I usually just read/post on the main message board. But that place is just so big I don't really feel like I "know" anyone or really belong there. Most teams that I have looked at are just about dead with only a few posts a week. I would love to be active in a smaller team with some challanges to work on. I like the exercise/calorie range type challanges but I would also enjoy some like ---1 new fruit/veggie and how did you cook/eat it-----How did you show your loved ones you loved them today----and something to help me clean my house, like this week focus on the kitchen, sharing cleaning tips----whats on the menu this week, sharing a whole weeks menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks---- A daily thread of just what are you doing today. I would love to have a good group to call home.

174 will put me at overweight, but not obese!!!

Andrea thanks for the email about this thread. I did not know it was up. In reading the responses, I know we all like to communicate with each other as well as support each other. That is very important. I also though like the challenges we have had. I agree the Black and Blue teams was a great challenge. I know many on the team are doing the Quick Fire Challenge but I remember when I first started being on this team we would have either daily or weekly challenges. I miss that. These are just my thoughts.

Betty glad you are posting again. You are in my thoughts and I know you will make a complete recovery.

Thanks to all of you dear friends for the love, prayers, and support all along the way. I enjoyed my first real walk today since my surgery--an hour walk throughout the neighborhood. The sun was shining, and it felt so good to be out there!

I'm ready for the next challenge! emoticon

Betty - It's so good to hear from you and to hear how well you're doing! Prayers will continue going up.

Amy and
Betty - Thanks for the input regarding challenges, etc. The team isn't going anywhere, that's for sure. I, too, would be lost without this group!

I like the home team....just spend a great deal of time on other teams. I'd be glad to be more involved again.

I enjoyed the team challenges, to. They actually got me moving more.

Thank you two for your constant dedication to the team! We'd be lost without ya!

Amy

I haven't been here much since my surgery on Feb. 4, since my activity has been limited by surgery, snowstorms, blizzards, power outages, internet down, more surgery, etc. But it's the first place I came to today, because I know it's where my dearest Spark Friends will be.

I love whatever we do as a team. The challenges have been fun, but also the chatting about Boot Camp, etc. Just so long as we remain active. We all started this journey together, and have become so close along the way. I want to keep all of you!

BTW, my surgery went well, and I have no lymph node involvement. I'll see the oncologist next week to see if she recommends any further treatment for me, most likely just hormonal therapy. I'm recovering quickly, and will soon be out there walking again, weather permitting.

Thanks for all your love and prayers. Powerful!

Betty

Hi Andrea.

I enjoyed it when we did challenges in the Blue and Black teams. Would be happy to do something like that again.

Good to hear from you.

You're welcome! 9 days until the marathon, so miles will be a lot less until the race on the 28th.

JANEY2010 and I have been using this team as a place to log our fitness minutes since January, and it's been great for accountability! I'm personally not into specific challenges at this time just because of the goals I'm working towards (marathon), I have a pretty specific training schedule that I follow. But I'm open to anything! - Tia

Good FRIDAY morning! I just love the sound of that. emoticon

Pam (Blabbermouth2) and I (Andrea0301) have a question for the team. We've tossed around many ideas for challenges, etc., recently (and in the past) for this team. I seem to come back to the same question:

* Is this what our Class Team wants / needs?

We have such an emoticon group here! Pam and I have become close to many on this team and continue to keep up with their progress, etc. Personally, if it weren't for Pam, I'm not sure I would have made it through the first few months of this journey. I'm certain I'm not the only one who has made such a connection with a fellow Sparker.

* Is this the team you look toward for accountability, challenges, etc., or do you consider the Class Team more of a social gathering place?

* Would you like to see more challenges, or would you prefer more fun on-going activities that aren't necessarily diet or exercise related?

There are so many teams on SP that are designed around goals, interests, geographical location, etc. Are you participating in these opportunities to gather with like-minded, similar-goaled Sparkers?

The bottom line is this; Pam and I want EVERYONE to succeed! We thrill in the accomplishments, large and small, of each and everyone of you. If challenges and accountability is what you want and need, then that's what we want to make certain you are getting - whether it's with this team, or connecting you with a team who is dealing with the same obstacles or seeking the same results.

Please let us know - we want to hear from you, our emoticon s!
