i never liked hard boiled eggs so my parents hid plastic ones with chocolate in them. Since I don't have kids I haven't done an Easter hunt since the early 70s

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much A true friend reaches for your hand but touches your hea

Good Morning Ladies! Happy Tuesday.

Why Does the Easter Bunny Hide Eggs?
The tradition of the Easter bunny hiding eggs is said to have come from a German tradition in the 1700ís when Germans migrated to Pennsylvania. The tradition is of an egg-laying hare that is called the Osterhase (or Oschter Haws). Traditionally, children in Germany create nests for the bunny to come and lay eggs in. Over time in America, this has evolved into dying eggs the night before for the bunny to hide, and the bunny bringing baskets (replacing nests) of goodies instead.

Today's Question...
Did you used to, or still do, dye eggs at Easter? Did you enjoy doing it or do you? Do you eat deviled eggs?

Yes, I used to dye eggs when I was little. We did do it a few times with the cubs, but they weren't huge into it, so not every year. Yes, I enjoy a deviled egg here and there.

Hope you have a Blessed Tuesday!
