When I was a kid he would make chili and pepper steak. He was a cook in my grandma's restarurant at one time. He could cook just about anything.

For the most part my dad is a good cook. He fancies himself a chef though and tries fancy stuf that doesn't always turn out! As a kid I thought the weirdest thing he made was SOS S*!t on a Shingle!

My dad doesn't do any cooking at 89 not that he ever did! . He use to make really good pancakes. he would make my kids grilled cheese sandwiches with butter on the inside of the bread & outside! He would alos fix ham sandwiches iwth butter instead of mayo or mustard. emoticon

My dad never cooked. He may have barbecued, but I don't remembered it. And before he died he wasn't able to do much of anything, so I know he didn't cook then.

Dad didn't cook. After Mom passed he went to the store and bought 7 cans of beans. He said as long as the can opener held out he was fine. He lived in a Sr apt complex and every once in a while he would buy an unbaked pie, go to a widows apt and ask her to bake it for him (sly old fox). When the family got together he would always ask for mashed potatoes

Good afternoon. Sorry I'm late today. Went to something at school for my youngest cub. It was fun & cute.

So today's question is about your Dad. With Dad's day coming Sunday I figured it would be good!

What are some weird things your Dad would / does cook?

Well, I wouldn't say it's weird, but other people have told me it is. It's a family recipe and I do enjoy it. It's called Molasses Candy. My Dad's dad was in the Navy and he was the cook. It was around Christmas and all the Sailors were sad and missing their families. So he thought he'd make them a special treat, but could only use what he had on the ship, so he made The Molasses candy. When he got home, my grandfather, he had to cut down the recipe... a lot... and started making it for his family. My Dad continued the tradition and I do the same. My boys don't care for it much, but I do and surprisingly my in-laws... hee hee. What's it taste like? Hard Molasses... hee hee.

Have a good day. emoticon
