I know, isn't it wonderful, it's the one chance I get to read books which I used to do constantly, but now I do it while I walk. I love it, plus the peace and quiet (I'm out in the country) is wonderful.

In the summer, I love to swim, it's so wonderful to be under the blue sky in a cool pool, when it's a hot, humid day. Turn on the music, and just walk, or swim away..how wonderful.

I'm slowly working my way up to that, Goosiemoon, I try to include small weights into my exercises, that's better than I used to do. I'm not sure about getting up further than that, but I do admire those who do. Great job!

I also enjoy strength training. It makes me feel powerful and strong.

I think another thing I love to do is walk in the mall, why? because not only are you walking, but your able to see people, watch what they do, look in store windows, you're taking your mind off the exercise, and enjoying other things. This way you can do more of the exercise and not even realize you're doing it.

It's a great way to spend your time and get your exercise in, try it sometime, you may like it..oh, and take a friend along, or some music, it makes it that much better.

So the busy weekends are starting early this year, despite the snow and cold, mainly because of all the preparations for the wedding next year...yep, next year. Can you imagine what it's going to be like as we get closer. That and the playground needing a rebuild, that's next year, too. Not sure how much I'll be around for that, because of our daughter's wedding, but I'll need to be.

So much going on in my life, anyway, I need to get going, catching up on stuff, so I hope others join in here...what's your favorite feel good exercise, any other suggestions for people who have problems in different areas of their bodies?

Because I have major problems with my knees (not able to kneel, nor get on the floor, just have a hard time getting back up because of my knees, fell twice in a 2 week period, flat on my knees without having the time to catch myself with my hands, on concrete and on the floor a couple years ago and it really did something to my knees), so I can't do exercises that involve having to be on the floor at all. Of course to lie on the floor, you have to get on your knees to get back up again, so that's out, too.

Anyway, I found a set of exercises which seem to be good, and I tried it today, starting with the first, which was fairly easy, but it used weights, which I liked. It recommended starting with each stage, so that's what I did. Something new, different, it's called Launchpad Stage 1 Pilot and they're on Youtube. I really liked it, and am trying the next stage tomorrow. The first was nearly 29 minutes long, but I extended it to 30 minutes by adding a few more lifts in there.

Rollerblading does it best for me except for the inevitable blisters. However, opportunities are few and far between even during good weather. Walking and running are right up there. And on ambitious days, I love some of the Fitness Blender HIIT exercises. In truth almost any exercise makes me feel good.

Do you still walk indoors? I mean, I've been doing the Leslie Sansone Walking tapes, anyone have any others they enjoy?

I think mine is walking because I can listen to music and ignore that I'm actually doing something that is healthy for me.
