NMTZ is by far my favorite. Sometimes I do only the floorwork circuits to get in some extra ab work. 30DS is the one I started with and it's great as well. But I find that I really need to switch it up after the 30 days and do something else for awhile. BFBM is a good workout but I don't really enjoy it. For some reason all of the jumping really gets on my nerves. I'd rather take a really intense aerobics class at the gym or do HIIT on the treadmill. I also recently started her Yoga Meltdown and that's nice when you need to switch things up.

30DS is the best of both worlds by combining cardio with strength and abs - so if you like cardio, go for BFBM. If you like strength, go for NMTZ. And I LOVE 6W6P, and I've only done Level 1 on it and I notice a difference in my abs immediately (not to mention feel it in parts of my back / obliques I rarely ever feel!). But nothing is more efficient than 30DS - it was when I got bored with it that I changed it up with the other DVDs, and now I'm bored with those so I'm back to 30DS. Good luck!

If I make it through the SP January Jumpstart Challenge, I'm buying a new Jillian Michaels DVD. Any suggestions?

I have only tried two so far but my favorite is the 30 day shred. It works you out HARD for only 20 minutes, she works all parts of your body and you feel the workout. I have already seen great results with using it.

Katie - I have always only done the 6 Pack Abs on the days I run - so, 3x a week. It still brought results so I am thrilled. I think I would get really bored if I was doing it more than that. As long as you are enjoying it and seeing results go for it. But you should always have one day a week that is a complete rest day.

Thanks Rhonda-I think I'm going to start doing that too. How many days a week have you been doing it? I know in the beginning she says to do it 5 days a week. Is 7 days a week bad?

Katie - I started doing just that when I finished the 6 weeks. I alternate between Level 1 and Level 2. I prefer Level 2 but I think it just does the body good to switch it up.

I love her Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout. It is all Jillian (and contestants) and it is my favorite! You do each exercise in the circuit only once. I love it!

Hey, for anyone who has done the 6 week 6 pack video...

Do you feel like Level 2 is more intense cardio and less abdominal work? I know it still is focusing on the core, but my abs don't really feel squat from Level 2. I know the cardio helps burn the fat off, but I feel like there isn't enough straight up abdominal work. I am just starting week 3 and am wondering if I should mix up Level 1 and Level 2 every other day, or just stick with the way the video is intended....

I can't say I love the Banish Fat & No More Trouble Zones, but they are a WORKOUT! At 6am when I do home workouts I can't say that I have the energy to do the full 55 minutes of thse- so I usually do 30 Day Shred or Yoga Meltodown on a biggest loser DVD. I do use 30 Day Shred the most- it makes me feel- combines interval HIT training and I feel envigorated!

I choose peace instead of this.

In 2013, I am Claiming abundant health, abundant wealth, and abundant energy.

I agree! 6 week 6 pack is awesome! The first few days were killers! I haven't yet had children, but I was being entirely dramatic comparing the pain I was feeling in my abs to that of recovering from a C-section. (I'm sure all the ladies out there who HAVE had C-sections are just laughing away!). Really, though, this DVD kicks....abs!

I LOVE Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. Currently my fav though is her 6 week 6 pack ABS. In 30 min. I burn 170 calories and in 4 weeks I lost 1/2 inch off my waist. I like those odds but I honestly really love this DVD.

Thanks for the input guys! I didn't know that No More Trouble Zones was meant to be paired with her cardio workout - that makes sense to me then. AND I just completely happened to find Exercise TV on my On Demand Channels and although they didn't have No More Trouble Zones they did have Level 1. of 30 Day Shred! SOOO I started it! I'm not sure how well I will be able to keep up with it because there were a lot more lunges and squats than I was expecting and I'm rehabbing my knee (!!!), but hopefully my PT will okay me continuing with it when I see her tomorrow!! And yeah, 30 Day Shred is definitely awesome :D

Exactly what REEKU731 said! No more trouble zones is a great dvd and its one of my favorites, but you definitely see a lot more results when you do it with the banish fat boost metabolism.

30DS is another great dvd workout and I think you would like it.

My favorite ones are no more trouble zones, 30DS and I actually like the yoga meltdown one a lot too. I do it when I am tired and dont have enough energy to do something intense but still want to get in a pretty good workout.

If you have access to a library, go and see if they have the dvds so you can take home and try them and if you like them then buy the ones you liked the most. Thats what I have been doing emoticon

So maybe I can help clear things up - you are correct, you cannot "spot tone" certain areas of your body. That workout is designed to be used with her other one, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism - which is a cardio based program. The strength training will emphasize the muscles that you want to tone or lean up and the cardio will help burn the fat to get those muscles to show - does that make sense?? As long as you do the workouts together (alternating days, etc) you should see some great results

My favorite workouts by her are her "Biggest Winner" Series - its a 5 disc set that came out a few years ago, and its awesome! Especially the Cardio Kickboxing one!

Obviously all you guys are familiar with Jillian Michael's workouts, but I'm not. I joined the the team with the intention of getting more information about 30 DS which I am planning on doing this spring once school let's out and I actually have the time :P But I decided to look at her other DVDs and I was wondering what you all thought of them. I am especially curious about No More Trouble Zones. I have lot's of those, but the write up suggests that you can target trouble areas with specific exercises which conflicts with everything else that I have read on Sparkpeople.... Have any of you done No More Trouble Zones, and if so, what did you see for results? Did you feel it was worth buying? What about her other DVDs?

THANKS :D
