I'm still getting some good miles in. Feet aren't too bad, especially when I get out and move to warm them up (still doesn't feel good when I stand for hours, like at sports).

Pretty thrilling to look at my mileage totals for the year. I've walked almost 150 miles, which is a big improvement for me. Clothes are fitting better; I feel better; I've lost several pounds since I got serious in July.

Between treadmill, battlefield wanderings and morning walks, I've gotten more than 10 miles in this week. Making progress. Not bad, considering that mid summer I was having problems walking a half mile without my feet aching.

I think I've managed to get over the worst of the foot problems. They still feel tight and painful on occasion, especially if I've been standing a lot. But nothing like it was at the beginning of summer.

And I've gotten to where 5k is a pretty standard mileage. I need to map out some nice out and back or circuit routes that are longer now so I can move forward.

Other good news is that I've lost several pounds since the beginning of summer. I'm sure that has much to do with my feet feeling better.

Got another 3 miles or so in this morning. It's exciting that this distance is starting to feel routine instead of something that requires a special push.

Looking forward to meeting up with the local Volksmarchers next week.

I did a lot of walking at Gettysburg over the weekend. Also did a 1.5 mile walk this morning.

I have some problems with plantar fasciitis that I'm trying to get healed. So even 5k mileage is a pretty big deal for me.

I did a 5k walk around the neighborhood on Monday. 1.5 mile Tuesday. 1.5 mile Thursday.
