Yeah, but I've got a repetitive use injury in my knee/hip and it's killing me so I've had to take the bench for the last four days, I might do some yoga Sunday with the knee brace on since my hip is feeling better. Sitting about a pound above my goal, maybe through diet I'll get there.

Your goal is definitely do-able! As far as your travel goes, is it for vacation? If so you don't want to restrict yourself completely, after all a week of giving in a little won't sabotage you too much, especially if you're conscience of it most of the time. Try to fit some exercise in on your travels too, walking and checking out the sites! Have fun and good luck!

12 pounds is 1.7 pounds per week, which is in the healthy range, so it sounds reasonable. Go, girl, go!

When I travel, I take healthy snack bars, dried fruit, and nuts with me. It keeps me from eating junk food on the plane. Also, access to a healthy snack helps me avoid low blood sugar events, which make it hard to hold out for healthy dining options when I'm away from home. I put my snacks in a small plastic box in my backpack, so they don't get squashed.

You might want to take a motivational reminder with you: a picture or written statement of your goal. It's easy to forget your goals when you vary from your routines.

Hi all,

I haven't posted much in the forums as I've been mostly using the tracking features of the website for the last two years.

HOWEVER, I am 7 lbs away from my goal with 49 days left until my deadline (see: 30th birthday). I'd like to exceed my goal by 5 lbs but I'll be happy if I reach it.

I'm going out of town for one week of that, so that week will be a particular challenge (traveling much of that time).

So I'm writing here for two reasons.

First, is 12 lbs in 7 weeks reasonable?

Second, what tips do you have to keep me motivated and on track? What works well for you when you travel?

Thanks so much for your support Austin SparkTeam!
