Great idea to check them out on Youtube. I get exercise videos from the library sometimes too.

I just bought Jari Love Revved to the Max and I'm looking forward to the journey. For those of us who are over 50, strength training is vital. I watched samples of her videos on youtube and this looks like something I can mentally get into as well as physically getting into it.
I also purchase Tae Bo off of ebay for some fun cardio kickboxing. Again, I watched snippets on youtube before I bought so I would make sure I'm going to be into it.
I recommend everyone look on youtube for video samples of a video they are thinking of buying to get a realistic view of what you'll be doing...

Insanity and P90X are definitely my favorites.

I really like 30 Day Shred and TurboJam too.

I just bought, and am loving the Skinny Girl DVD. It's a yoga program. What I love about it is the Bonus 10 minute stretching segment. I started doing it after I work out in the gym. It honestly feels great and makes me not tired and ready to face the day. The whole video is good but the stretches definitely make it worth the like $10 I spent on it at Target.

I really like Ellen Barrett's workouts. When I first got netflix, they had a few dvd's made by Self which I loved, too.

If you like kickboxing with a dancy feel - Turbo jam is Awesome!

I also like Bob Harper's DVDs...I recently traded Jillian for him haha.

The Zumba's DVDs are fun but I think a class will be better because of the variety of moves and changes each session. DVDs can become predictable and a group class is always fun.

Because I'm worth it!

Any good zumba DVDs out there or is that something you really have to do in a class?

I haven't done this DVD in years, but the NYC Ballet has a workout that is purely stregnth and stretching and is wonderful for toning the full body :)

All of Ellen Barrett's DVDs - most of them are Pilates or Pilates with a twist (+cardio, + yoga, +fat-burning, etc.). She did a whole series under the Crunch brand, and I think has branched out on her own now. All of the ones I have tried have been good - she cues very well and isn't annoying (very important).

I haven't done my DVDs recently, but thinking about which are my favorites has made me want to put them back in the exercise rotation - thanks!

What are everyone's favorite exercise DVDs?

I love exercise DVDs (goods ones that really give you a good workout), because they allow you to try all sorts of different workouts, from kickboxing to yoga to 80s cardio to bootcamp, and you can do it right in your house!
