I do outdoor walking on non-resistance training days. It's usually a moderate paced 30 minute walk which averages 3-4 days per week. Being post-menopausal and age 60+, I keep cardio low impact.

It is up to each of us to do three things: exercise, use good nutrition, and commit to something or someone that brings us joy daily for the rest of our lives. I usually work out 3-4 days a week and do between 45-50 minutes of cardio each day. I would do 25-30 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes on the Arc Trainer, then lift some light weights that helps too!

Hi Jadey

I walk in the park for 3 miles. The terrain is very good because it goes from flat to hill to flat again, which gives me a good workout. For the first mile I take it slow, speed it up the 2 mile and half of the 3 mile. The last have of the third mile I do a slow walk to cool down. I get pretty good results from just walking and watching what I eat.

I use the elliptical and the treadmill. I hava a Bowflex TreadClimber at home which is a very intense workout. I just start doing interval training on the elliptical putting the crossramp at 20 and resistance on 15. I like the variety of the machine in works the different areas of the leg.

Progress may be slow, but it happens!

Try reducing your incline to about a 7 and step your power walk up to a jog and alternate with intervals of the power walk @ 15. If you can tolerate a running pace, do that for 2 minute increments and alternate with 2 minutes of your normal pace and incline. You wouldn't even believe how much it can change your results.
