I grabbed a screenshot of this graphic from Pinterest, don’t remember actually going to the website shown on the top of the design (“thecrazyshoppingcart.com)...but it has some quick ideas...

Thank you, Julia for sharing the link to cooking times for the Instant Pot. Tomorrow I may try beans in the Instant Pot. I like the yogurt that can be made with it.

This is an amazing resource. Thanks, Julia.
I used my IP yesterday to make Italian gravy for a recipe I was making.
This was the first time I felt really comfortable using it so I will assume use equals comfort.

I will probably have to edit and add to this one, as I discover various "printable Cheat Sheets" from various blogs online - some might be easier to use than others, or may be available in various formats like one format for viewing on Smart Phones or iPads, and another might be better for downloading and printing on your own printer).

One Good Thing - blog:

and here's their printable cheat sheet for 8.5"x11" sheet of paper. I don't know how well it will work for those of you from other countries using other paper formats.

"As with conventional cooking, cooking with Instant Pot is full of personal choices, creativity, a lot of science and experimentation. No two people would have exactly the same tastes, preferences of tenderness and texture of food. The cooking time chart provided in this recipe booklet is for reference purpose. The user is encouraged to experiment and find your own time setting for the best result to the user’s own liking.

There are other factors that may affect the cooking time. Different cuts of meat and different types of rice, for example, may require different cooking time to yield the same tenderness or texture.

The following pressure cooking timetables provide a general guideline on the length of pressure cooking time for various food.

When cooking frozen food, there is no need to defrost the food in the microwave first. However frozen food will prolong the pre-heating time and cooking time by a few minutes depending on the amount of food. "

Pressure Cooking Timetable for Rice and Grains:

This link shows how to cook various rice and grains in the Instant Pot. Found it while looking for info on cooking sorghum. Other companies may have similar charts specific to their own pressure cookers, but I don't yet have those.

Instant Pot
"Please note that the cooking time is pressure keeping time on Instant Pot or other electric pressure cooker operating at 10.2 – 11.6 psi or 70-80 kPa. Cooking times are approximate. Please use them as a guideline only."

Here's a thread to place useful cooking charts, or tables, or other references available online for the Instant Pot or other similar electric pressure cookers. Some of these may come from blogs which specifically focus on the "old school" pressure cookers which predated these newer electronic/digital programmable pressure cookers like the Instant Pot brand.

I'm also seeing links to the reference manuals for various machines - I may put those links in here too? Hopefully everyone keeps their owners manuals, but I do know personally that sometimes my manuals sprout legs and escape from where I thought I last put them...

Think what may work best is to use the "Reply" in here and open a new "message" with an introduction to what the specific table or chart or reference is about, and then put the link in it. That way one can scroll down and look for what they are interested in... and put the side chatter up in the Daily Chat thread above in the other Forum? Just a thought. Seriously, some of you with longer experience at being a SparkPeople leader feel free to message me if you want to be a co-leader and help set some of this up in a more efficient way. I'd love the help!
