593 miles in February. Including a 120 mile overnight ride with my cycling club.

Weather in north central FL has been flipping around. One day in the 80s and a few days later in the 50s. We're getting a lot of rain, too. So, it's been hard to consistently ride outside. Today it is 82. It was a great day for a ride. Still breaking in my new saddle, I was only able to get 84 miles in it during January. Today was my first ride in February. The saddle's getting better in spite of it.

My goal for February is to ride 40 miles a week. .

I'm actively training indoors using Sufferfest on my laptop. Started a 10 week session in January. My focus is on increasing my VO2. And preparing for an early Spring 20Km TT. My goals are participating in all five EOTT, Senior Olympics 10Km TT, Team relay Duathlon (I'll be doing the 10 mile TT) and my son will be running the 5Km segments. Lots of plans this year as 2018 was a tough year physically and mentally. 2019 is going to rock!

Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting 'Holy Sh!t What a Ride!'

In the Northern Hemisphere February is a degree or two warmer than January. El Nino is bringing slightly warmer temperatures to the Western and Central United States and Canada.

El Nino also brings snow. This photo was taken on January 28th 2019 near my house.

If you live in Southern Florida this time of the year may be more pleasant for bike riding.

This photo is of a charity ride "Loop for Literacy" in Lake Worth Florida, in early February. This year it is schedule for February 16th 2019.

I did more "miles" indoors on stationary bikes than real riding outdoors in January. Organized bicycle rides don't start until April in Colorado.

What is everyone's mileage goals for February? Please post your progress in this forum so we can cheer you on.

Go Team!

Bruce
