We have Direct TV, and we use AT&T fir the internet because they're basically the same company and we got a good deal (for the first year, anyway!)

I signed on w/AT&T U-VERSE bc of "YES"! Well...it turned out to be "NO"! EVERY NYY game was BLACKED OUT....bc of the MARLINS! The ONLY time I got to see the NYY, was when they PLAYED the FL. (now MIAMI) Marlins....& THAT wasn't often!
NOW....U-VERSE took YES off......& made it a PAY CHANNEL.....(I always paid extra for YES,,, but....now...U-VERSE made it part of a "SPORTS PACKAGE"!) Since they PROBABLY would NOT air the games ANYWAY....due to BLACKOUT rules.....I said.....FORGET IT!!!!!!!

AT&T U-VERSE ARE A BUNCH OF LYING, MISLEADING CROOKS!!!!!!!!!

It was in 1956, when I was in the 6th grade. That's a long time ago. And now, even though we're in NC, we manage to subscribe to the YES network, and have MLB network, so we get to see ALMOST all of the games with Yankee announcers. But would you believe that the blackout rule is for 500 miles, which means that we have to listen to the other teams announcers when in either Baltimore, DC, or Atlanta. Like I would want to drive to any of them for a game. I think the rule could be 250 at most. Especially when they're not standing changing games to begin with.

As a kid in the Bronx, Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra. Now it's been Jeter for a lot of reasons.
But since my father was a Dodger fan, I always admired Jackie Robinson, and once I saw him make one of his "parallel" catches live in Brooklyn the day Carl Erskine pitched.. (When my mother was told it was a no hitter, she commented "Boy, that must have been a boring game.")

My first favorite was Joe Pepitone, Jersey #25. I was a little girl and grew up with the Yankees. Other favorites: BERNIE WILLIAMS, Andy Pettitte, Brett Gardner (back with us emoticon ) , Yogi Berra, Mariano. Guess I could go on and on!!!

I grew up loving the "Core Four" (which should have been the "Fantastic Five" and included Bernie Williams, IMO...) and I was (and still am) one of CC's biggest fans... But out of the current "Baby Bombers" era, I would say I am a big fan of Aaron Judge, Gleyber Torres, Gary Sanchez, and Luke Voit. Can't wait for the season to get underway!!

As did I...very sad to see Thurm taken too soon. At the time, I lived in Long Island and my neighbor came home hysterically crying....I thought her Mom had passed (since she was very ill) and then she tells me about Munson. One of those "I remember exactly what I was doing" when I first heard of his death. Rest in Peace.

Goose!!! Loved him, as well as Louisiana Lightning!!

Well, I have a few too.
Scott Brosius - such puppy dog eyes and that bare-handed throw to first - Wow
Andy Pettitte - best lefthanded pitcher and great post season record.
Derek Jeter - integrity, honesty, great work ethic, and so darn cute!
Mo - best closer EVER
Old time ones - - Lou Gehrig for his strength and grace, especially toward the end of his career.
Thurman Munson - so sad he died so young.
Lots more I'm sure

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, or sun without rain, but ... He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way. Debb - LI NY

So hard to pick just one!! The ones that come to mind include Bernie Williams (quite possibly my favorite), Thurman Munson, Mo and Willie Randolph.

As a very little girl, my first Yankee love was Joe Pepitone. Yes, I was born with pinstripes in my veins.
