My first thought was Kale - Russian or possible purple. But 'huge leaves' makes me think it is cabbage leaves (of the plant not the head)

Beet is possible too, it could even be chard. It's hard to identify as a lot of greens can fit those descriptions.

I think "beet greens" also have purple stems with green leaves.

Could it be Kale? They can have purple stems. You can do a Google image search and see is that's what it was. Was it a tough leaf?

Someone from my church brought some organic greens to share from her organic co-op. I have no idea what they are or how to use them.
What plant has a purplish colored stem and huge wide green leaf. It also has a strong cabbage kind of taste.
I would like to track it on the nutrition tracker if I could figure out its name. They aren't collard greens. She brought those too, and I've already used them.
Another one she brought has long dark green leaves - very big, and green stems.
Thanks to anyone who knows their greens. emoticon
