Hi Everyone

Well here it is, the new 10 week 5% Challenge to get us all fit for Spring/Fall. Having the extra week will enable the people who celebrate the 4th July to have a few yummy things and still be able to lose 5%. We will have the weigh in on a Friday, my thinking behind that is most people relax a bit at the weekend, so it is not a true weight on a Monday. (my excuse anyway). If Friday doesn't suit, pick a day that works for you.

If you are into maintenance you may choose to use it as a way of keeping yourself on track. Maintenance Sparkies are a good inspiration for the rest of us.


It will start on Friday 20th June and conclude on the 29th August. That gives us 10 weeks to get ourselves in shape.

So jump in everyone and have a go. I will put a template up that you can cut and paste, or you can do your own.

Weight can be Kgs of lbs whatever you are using in your country.
Here is how to work out 5%

Start weight x 0.05 = 5% goal
Start weight - 5% goal = finished goal weight

~~~Example~~~~

77kgs x 0.05 = 3.85kgs so 3.85Kgs would be this persons 5% goal
73.15kgs would be their finished goal weight for the challenge (77kgs - 3.85kgs = 73.15kgs)

If you miss the start, start anyway whatever the date! emoticon
