I used to play 1000, Polish card game similar to bridge with my parents. I also like Canasta, cheat, patience, uno. Then there are the board games - love Scrabble, also Risk and one day hope to successfully play Carcassonne, which we also have and which is very complicated.

I liked playing cards, but most games of that nature don't really interest me much. I play cards (Spider) on my mobile now. Prior to my getting my computer I always used to play Patience with real cards LOL!

I loved games when I was young; as a kid I played go fish, crazy 8s, rummy, war,and canasta. In nursing school I took up bridge.
The board games I used to like were Sorry, Snakes & Ladders, Clue, Parcheesi, and once in a while Monopoly. Oh, and my best girlfriend and I also spent hours playing Mah Jongg with her mother's set - I loved that! And over the years I've also played lots of solitaire!
I've only rarely played games with others since nursing school, but I did go through a period of playing cribbage, and when I was a Big Sister, I played some of the same card games with my Little Sister. Now I also prefer reading!

Last game I played was with my mom and sister - Music Trivia - Had at least 4 different type of cards that you played different ways - charade/trivia/shout out/ and humming.

I have been playing cards for as long as I can remember- When I was very young my grandparents taught me and I played with the family. Spades is my favorite card game, but in our house the past 15 years or so we also play a lot of hand and foot.

We play some board games (Balderdash and Yahtzee being favorites), but the adult kids, like their mom, love to play cards the most.

I am not much for games - maybe Scrabble. When I was a kid, we couldn't afford to fix our TV when it broke; so for years we played cards every night. Our neighbors had a casino game they would bring over on the weekends - roulette, etc. It all became very monotonous to me. In college, I played whist and later I played some bridge. I used to play Monopoly with my nieces and nephews when they were little. I'd rather read a book.

Many families these days are finding things to do inside like playing board games or card games.

Do you now, or have you ever, enjoyed playing board games or cards? And if so, what particular board game or card game did you like most?

My favorite board game was always Monopoly, but it's hard to find anyone to play with these days. I'm not much of a card player, but when I was younger, I played Old Maid, Go Fish, and Uno. Tried playing bridge once and it was hard!!
