Nancy, yes, the link you posted is it. When you download the pattern, scrap junkie 1 tells you how to piece the blocks and 2 gives you settings. I knew I saw it somewhere. Carol

This is weird. Yes the rainbow quilt is part of it but I was able to download her free instructions on how to make the block. Now I can't seem to find. I will do some research.
It entails sewing 3 1 1/2" strips together and 5 1/2" strips together.

The 3" set is cut to 5 1/2" by 3 widths. The 5 width set is cut 5 1/2" by 3 1/2" horizontally.
And yes Rainbow ruth is the pattern. However, it doesn't tell the strip sets. Carol

Carol,
When I click on the link I'm taken to a site called file.com. I think you gave us a link to file on your computer. Please provide the link to Gudrun's website and we can probably find it from there.

Update: I did a Google search - is this what you found?

There is an error in cutting directions in my opinion. Says cut 12 2" squares for C but they should be 2 1/2. Wont fit. Maybe there is a correction somewhere but the one I printed off is wrong.

It is cool Amy. You could make it with "rose" colors. my.modafabrics.com/inspirati

Moda is sponsoring a stitch pink with a block a day in October. I made block one yesterday and printed of 2 and 3. I looked in my pink box and found a chunk of breast cancer fabric I had left, enough to use in several of the blocks, maybe all of them. So I am going to have 30 blocks done when its finished! I'm also doing the Sewcialites block a week with Pat Sloan. Using up those fabrics. Carol

When I was cleaning off my table and sorting fabrics, I found a load of 4 variegated fat quarters with coordinating purple and lime greens. I pulled out all the fabrics I had that went with these and printed off the first patten of the Sewciability pattern. I'm going to attempt to do these. Since they are all different, it should be interesting. Carol

I looked at that sampler pattern again, so bright. I have a whole collection of AMerican Jane bright colored fabric. I had bought a kit from Craftsy that was on sale and a good price. It is yards and yards. And then I won a kit at a retreat of the same fabrics and it had packs of pie slices in it of all the bright colors. Large HST halves already cut. It would be easy to convert this kit to those blocks. Carol

It is a cute quilt and I like the chevrons. While it looks like HSTs when assembled, her method of making them seems like they are quarter square triangles so all the outside edges of each finished square are on the bias! I would rather make it with true HSTs.

This one is called Chevron Falls and it has a unique way of sewing the pieces together. I might have to try it.

And another called diamonds Squared using 1 1/2" strips and a background. Easy to do using the accuquilt 1 1/2" die. Lay the fabric on it and strip! I have a bunch of fat quarters I could do this with. Carol

Sew can she is going to create a hanging walker pocket this month! I've been wanting to find a good pattern for one of these and she is doing it for free!
The Summer Sampler block one is up today from Piiecing the Past. I printed it off. It doesnt look too demanding. It is a row quilt and finishes at 87 by 105. Perfect for my bed and I can use the civil war fabrics I had planned for Comfort and BLessing and use those blocks on the back. Or something like that.

That is the Sunny Skies quilt by Jenny. I have leftover blocks from a previous Bonnie Mystery where I didn't like the combination after completing the first 24 or so blocks. I could add this alternative geese/hst blocks and finish it up. Carol

Since I got the 3" finished HST die, I dont mind attempting some of these blocks. I am in earnest for the 4" finished HST die. I have smaller ones but I want that one as it is a useful size and you can use charms to cut them out. I have the 4" finished hourglass die. I wonder what half of it would make for an HST. Two of the triangles sewn together. CArol

Found this today. Its month 4 of a star block by Jenny Doan and I guess they have a BOM where you get the fabric. But here she is showing how to make the block and you could provide yuor own fabric, ten " and 5" squares. I like this block using a disappearing 9 patch in the center. Carol

Piecing the Past has a free row quilt. I signed up just to get the pattern. Still have to work on Comfort and Blessing. I might go back to the beginning on that one and organize the fabrics into bags like she suggested. I thought I would just pull fabrics for each block but I realize it would be so much easier to have them all organized into bags for each block. Carol

There is a free row quilt along from Piecing the past quilts. Same place as comfort and Blessing and I wish I had followed along and created the bags with pieces they suggested for each block. I guess I could spend the time and still do that as it would be so much easier to be organized and just grab a bag. I wont do this row along but I thought a place for free stuff might be good,
