The pool was closed for 2 weeks for cleaning, then they found they needed to make repairs. Guess what I'm BACK

emoticon if I REALLY felt guilty - I'd go swim right now - but not a huge fan of swimming in the dark - sounds like a good enough excuse to me. I am a little ashamed that I did NOT swim today - the water was nice and clear but hopefully I will get 2 miles in this weekend? hmmm, hope so.

I do kind of have a 3miles/week goal so have some catching up to do. My hair is going to be SO GREEN this summer.

I make it into the Rideau Lake (a bit coolish at first!) this afternoon and swam for 30 minutes. I don't know how many laps that would be as I just swim up and down the shoreline.
I will report my swimming in minutes. It felt great getting back into the water again.

Using Mark's conversion that he gave me, I swim 30 laps 3x a week.(I actually do 30 minutes of water aerobics)

I do a 45 minute exercise routine made by my physical therapist 3x a week.

I do my routines on Monday---Wednesday--Friday I was told by the therapist to have days of rest between pool sessions.

Once the therapist thinks I am ready he will be making me an exercise routine for the gym. This will be done 2x a week. Tuesday and Thursday.

In the pool, at the lake, or in the ocean: share details for accomplishing all swimming and other water exercises.

Goal #1: Swim 16 Full Laps (Olympic Pool) per day
Are you a lap swimmer with access to a standard 25-meter pool? If yes, 66 lengths equals one mile. Can we establish a goal of 0.25-mile (about 16) lengths per day. Remember, if it rains and you miss, you "owe" your teammates 32. Assuming there are 4 pool days a week, each participant should be able to accomplish a full mile each week. 20-25 participants and 4.3 weeks per month brings us to 100 miles per month.

Goal #2: Exercise in the Water (Non-Swimming) 20 minutes per day
