I have discovered that I have to start small. I think I sabotage myself by setting goals too large right off the bat.

For the next 21 days I will excercise for a minmum of 15 minutes each day. I can do 15 minutes easily. In fact its usually more than than as in 20 or 30, but it just seems so much more do able than saying that I will excercise for 30 minutes. Funny how that works.

Sunday I was on The gazelle for 40 minutes,then Monday had a 45 minute walk and today hopping onto the gazelle for 40 minutes plus compete the BootCamp Cardio workout for 20 minutes

Day 3 and I am strong. I have been walking at least 1mile daily and this morning I walked 2!

So My official start date for this challenge was 4/4/2011.
I went for a walk for 45 minutes and every 15 minutes jogged for 3. I have very bad shin splints right now. PAINFUL!!!

I'm new here to the team and just saw this thread. For me days 1-3 I've been using the Gazelle for that required 10 minute increments. Definitely feeling it in my calves!

I'm back to Day 1 I missed a few days this week so I'll start over. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill 3.5 at a 1/5% incline and 10 minutes on the stationary bike 12.5 mph I'm feeling fantastic!!

I started this goal on my own before I found the group, but I am so glad to find a group of people doing it as well....here's were I stand:

Day 1 of 21: Workout with trainer
Day 2 of 21: 55 min of cardio f/u with stretching
Day 3 of 21: Bootcamp class (an hour of gettin my butt kicked!)
Day 4 of 21: hoping to make it to the gym on the way home as long as the snow doesnt cause it to close....I will let you know how that goes!

I love this challenge!! I guess on Tuesday (today is Friday) I will have done 50-150 (50 at the start and now 150) sit-ups, 50 push-ups, and 70 Leg exercises EVERY DAY!!!! I get up at 5 a.m. and do the first set, and right before bed I do my second set... I also walk/jog for 20 minutes 4-5 times a week!! Keep active!!! I'm down 13 pounds total so far!!! emoticon

I just found out about this challenge ten minutes ago...I guess I should check in more often lol. I'm on day 2 of the challenge though since I worked out both yesterday and today (I would've been on day four, but the day before yesterday we got hit with a bit of a snow storm and I didn't want my car to slide even further than it already was).

I'm in. I got in almost an hour of exercise yesterday. 20 minutes of dancing, ten minutes on the bootcamp video, plus 20+ minutes of strength training with my resistance bands.

I hope to start the Biggest Loser cardio DVD today, but I'm not feeling so well thanks to Mother Nature. Still, I'm determined!

Okay I am starting the challenge myself as well. I am on day 1. I went to Curves for Women gym and worked out for 30 minutes (2 circuits) and stretched for 10 minutes. I actually do feel really good. I am planning on pulling out my bike and riding that tomorrow.

Hi.I started the 28 Day Boot Camp on January 2 and have kept it up. The ten minute videos fly by and you're done before you know it. The other part is cardio on 5 out of 7 days. I've loved it and it really is helping me get into the habit of daily exercise. This forum will help too. Today I did 30 minutes of walking along with the Boot Camp video.

Not really, as long as I make sure my feet are planted right before I start. I tend to walk on the outside of my feet, so putting each foot toward the outer edges helps. Maybe that will work for you?

Do you have problems with your feet staying on/ straight on your Gazelle? I have to stop for a couple seconds to put my feet back in the right place. Didn't know if I was the only one.

I am totally in on this one. I am actually already on day 7. I did 35 minutes on the gazelle this morning. I am planning on doing my BL DVD tonight, along with my strength training for the day. Since I started sparking, I feel guilty if I don't at least do my gazelle every day. emoticon

I'm on day 3 (started before I knew about this challenge), and I've gone 4 miles, in about an hour & a half. I try and up my mileage on the elliptical by 1/2 mile every day, and I'm up to 1.5, then I either do core exersizes or weights (well, ish, I can't lift more than 5pds).
My goal is to lose 30 pds (maybe more) by May, so I'm hoping I can keep this up.

Oh, and where do you get the little timeline things? I want one!! emoticon

Congrats, everyone!! Today I really pushed myself. I walked on the treadmill for 15 minutes, did the elliptical machine for 30 minutes, AND I walked around the track for 15 minutes! Woo hoo! 3/21 days done!

I made it today and have to say I'm shocked. I woke up soooooooooo wanting coffee but told my self I'm not allowed to have it until I walk. So I watched a half hour program and walked in place (it was pouring out side).

So they say it takes 21 days to make a habit, so let's see if that is true! My challenge to you is to do some kind of physical activity EVERY day for 21 days. Can we do it? YES!

So what you all should do is post on this thread every day for 21 days with the activity that you did. Sound good?

So I will go first. I'm starting today, Monday, January 10th. Today I went to the gym and worked out on the elliptical for 30 minutes and a stationary bike for 15. :D 1/21 days done!
