I'm checking in with my two small goals from last week

1. go to Curves 3 days this week emoticon I went Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday (something came up on Friday, but did Saturday instead)

2. eat 3 fruits/veggies this week . . I managed 2 fruits/veggis 5 days and 3 on 1 day out of the week. Not bad for me!!!! Need to do better with this one . . very important to eat your fruits/veggies!!!

so my next goal is the same as last week . . 3 fruits/veggies this week (1-17 to 1-24). I'll let you know on the 24th how I did.

I'm not into new years resolutions but I am a fan of making goals. I usually make goals every single month for writing. Some other goals so far are:

Lose 25 lbs. I like the weight watcher's idea of trying for a smaller goal first, which they usually do 10%. But I decided on 25 instead of 23.whatever lbs. I'd like to have it done by this summer but if the deadlines needs moved, I will do such.

Learn guitar. This means practice 4-7 days a week so that I have a little leeway and don't feel guilty when I miss a day and just give up.

Learn how to walk in high heels. I'm very bad at this because right now I don't have anywhere to wear them too. Since I wear them 1-2 times a year, they just hurt my feet when I do. So, I'm going to try starting in small slots of time in order to get used to heels.

I don't really do resolutions because they just don't feel right to me. The feeling of a new beginning in a new year didn't escape me, though, for sure, and I do have some goals for this year.

I aim to lose about forty pounds this year. And that'll be accomplished the only way I really know how: sweat and asparagus!
Okay, I just really love asparagus.

I need to do a lot of things this year, though. Quit smoking, move, find a way to go back to school, and stop stressing so much. :O No actual plans for them yet, though.

I'm breaking my "ultimate goal" into smaller goals. Here are my first set of goals for the week of January 10th through the 16th

1. go to Curves 3 days this week - M, W, & F

2. eat 3 fruits/veggies per day - 1 at each meal

I will let you know on Sunday, 1/16 how I did on my smaller goals this week.

Good luck everyone!!!

To be healthier by eating healthier, exercise more and mediate more often. I also plan to get my family in on the act.

You can make it a great day or not. The choice is yours.

I'm resolving to sticking to healthy living, my 30th birthday is in one year and I want to be at my goal weight by then.

I will use the gym membership that I pay for, I will start by getting to the gym 3 days a week and working up to more.

I will drink 8 glasses of water a day.

I will cook and eat healthy meals, but still know that is okay to have pizza and chips( my favorite) in moderation.

Most of all I will not give up on myself, I've done that way to may times!!

I like the word "goals" much better than resolutions...the latter almost dooms one to failure...!

Sounds like GREAT goals for yourself!

I had resolved to not make any resolutions this year but I am going to add a few goals of mine.

I will lose 40 pounds by May 21 by eating healthy, watching my portion sizes and working out at least 3X a week. This will put me at 180 for my oldest child's high school graduation, the weight I was when I got pregnant with him.

I will drink 8 glasses of water a day by getting half in by noon and the other half by bedtime.

I will get my house organized-I say this every year-by ridding myself of 10 items per week that we just don't use anymore.

Hey everyone,

Because it is the new year, everyone knows that you are supposed to make "resolutions". They can seem really intimidating and impossible to achieve, but they don't have to be so. So what I want you all to do is post your resolutions and, this is important, how you are going to accomplish them. So I will go first. :)

I will lose 30 pounds this semester, by working out at least 6X per week and eating healthy.

I will drink the right amount of water, by drinking 8 glasses a day.

I will score at least a 1200 on the GRE in September, by studying 1 hour every day, once I get a book (and I will get a book by mid January).

I will make Dean's list by doing all of my homework and readings. I will also not procrastinate on bigger assignments, and will have them done at least a few days in advance.

So there we are! I hope to see lots of great resolutions. Good luck, everyone!!!
