I always set my alarm in another room so that I have to get out of bed to turn it off. I also have my clothes laid out and know what I am going to do for a workout so I don't have to think about it.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be

I have never been a morning person, but now am up at 4am to be at the gym at 5am. How do I do it? When I first get home from work, I change clothes, then lay out my clothes for the next day for the gym and pack my clothes for work. I then make dinner and my lunch for the next day, which gets packed and ready. I fill my K-cup for the Keurig, pour my sweetener in my cup and set it by the coffeepot.

I eat dinner, Spark my meal, do the dishes and set my clothes by the door. I am in bed by 9:30 with my electronics plugged in next to me so they are ready to unplug and take off when my alarm goes off. My work clothes are already packed and my workout clothes are ready for me, so there is no excuse not to work out. I mean, once my workout clothes are on, I might as well DO something with it!

It is also important to find an activity that you enjoy doing. I like my gym workouts, you might not. When it is light earlier, I will also walk more often with my daughter, but the cougar population is too high and she had a very close encounter a few months ago so we won't walk when it is dark.

I get up pretty early to work out. Not knowing why you are oversleeping, try two alarms. I don't know if there is a magic pill. I just decided I am going to get up. There is no thinking about it. If you don't think about it, there is no chance to pull the covers back over you :) Before too long, it will be a habit. You can do it!

Alarm clocks and earplugs? Does your husband snore? Maybe he could help wake you up if you don't hear the alarm?

I just have to throw the covers off and get up, it is hard especially when it is chilly in the early morning. But once you get up and get the blood pumping you will feel fantastic!!! Have everything all laid out in the morning too. Try again tomorrow :) Making a new habit is hard....one day at a time. emoticon

I am trying to get up at 5:50 in the mornings to go workout and something keeps me from waking... I have a hard time getting up early as it is. Today I slept through the alarm bc I didnt hear it through my earplugs. Will anyone who gets up early share how you do it? Any suggestions I could try would be very helpful :)
