I'm Zonked! I don't even know if I have enought energy lert to crawl into bed. Didn't take the cardio off today, so got in a llittle estra this morning. After finishing an hour of yoga, a half hour of aerobic walkint to a Leslie Sanwsone tapew, another half hour of flexercise mixed with calisthenics, I went over to help my husband lay a wood floor for a friend. Then I zoomed home for a quick shower before getting to the Women's Social Club. Wouldn't you kno? They had ice cream and cake. And I ATE itt Thought I was tired enough to catch an afternoon nap, but couldn't sleep, so just kept rigjt on going. G'night everyone!

I feel like you. I would much rather gage the changes based on my physical appearance and the fit of my clothes than the number on the scale. The scale can be such a mood killer if the numbers are not consistently going down. I heard that you should weigh yourself at the same time in the same location every day. Having an appointment with the scale - unbelievable.

Tracking and being aware of when I eat has given me new energy and a better night's sleep. It has also been more rewarding than seeing the number.

I have not weighed in as I really want to feel results more than look at a number. That being said I have noticed that I am getting in and out of bed better this week. Previously I have had to lay down a bit and ease my way up as it hurts. I have began to out on my own knees his or socks instead of getting my 6 yr old to "do it for mommy".

I am really hoping to accomplish a health boost this month like no other. IDK maybe its me turning a year older, but I really feel like I can accomplish something for myself this time that is going to be life changing!

@NENESMOM - Rather than eliminating meat, maybe you should opt for leaner choices or smaller portions. Take baby steps - don't give up meat cold turkey (pardon the pun) because that will be what you crave. In the case of the Big Mac attack, having half the sandwich would have satisfied that "eating monster" that was pulling at you.

Hang in there. I've added you as a SP friend and will make every effort to touch base daily to check in and motivate.

If at McDonalds with the family, try the deluxe burger with no cheese and no mayonnise with a side salad instead of French fries....or hit subway for a veggie sub....
My doctor said not to eat anything with eyes or that came from eyes for the first six months.
also switch to Almond milk which I now like. I don't miss meat and all the chemicals and growth hormones they have....Learning to make different choices and I feel so much better....Now that I am again working out on a daily basis....life is so good....Keep going - we can all do this....

You can do this! Being honest with yourself is a huge step in the right direction. It takes time. Be good to yourself and try to make great, loving, healthy choices for your body. You're worth it!

So 1 week is done 3 more to go. My approach is simple: NO MEAT. It wasn't perfect as I did eat part of a chicken breast 2x however I still feel like I've accomplished something.

Okay honestly I go a bit emotional and ate a big mac on Saturday night...family gotta love em, right?

But I am keeping my head up as it takes 30 days to break a habit and I am determined to get my eating under control.
