well! I actually gained weight. I ate healthy & did my portions, but I just don't know what happened.
My doctor is looking into why I'm not losing the weight as well. I try exercising as much as possible, but w/ my knee replacement it's hard.

Be patient! Things will change 4 the better.

Well, end of week 1, no weight loss. Kinda bummed, but I will continue and know this darn weight WILL come off. I did 30 min (or more) of cardio Sat thru Th. DId the strength vidoes each day. I did not get any cardio in on Fri or Sat, but I did clean house, grocery shop and clean out my spare bedroom (hence the reason for no cardio for those 2 days). Not a good reason, but it is what it is. Started today off with a good breakfast of pancakes and strawberries, going to workout now and then take the dog for a walk later. Good luck everyone!

Started the first week a little late since I was on vacation, but I have been on task since starting. I was almost to my goal in September and then I went on vacation. Gained it all back +5. I am going to really be diligent with my strength workouts this go around. I know this is what worked best when I hit my plateau last summer. I also know that when I stopped tracking EVERYTHING I ate, I stopped paying attention to what I ate. I look forward to reaching my goal by the time I hit 40 in six weeks. GO TEAM!

Had a good first week with tracking and exercise, but having trouble with water. Maybe because it's colder now? Anyway, I'm really going to try this week to drink all the water.

First week down and I am down 2 lbs but not eating enough calories...I snack all the time because I can not eat a normal size meal since having gastro in 2004. It is a little frustrating trying to get enough calories in and exercising with crazy schedule. Need to up vitiam intake. Really low on energy.

Finished the week, I exercised six days, combination between elliptical and weights, and abs and jogging, plus one Pilates session. I did ok with logging the food, but Friday evening and yesterday I ate more than I should. Today is another day, great for a fresh start. I like this challenge as it keeps me motivated. Good luck to everyone.

I'm one day behind as I didn't start 1/1, but 1/2. But, I lost 7 pounds during the week; logged every single food every single day, did the strength training videos every day, and worked my cardio (walking on the treadmill) from 10 minutes up to 15. I can do it!

Just getting ready to end week one. Although it doesn't show in my ticker because my weight actually went up over the last 6 months, I dropped 3 pounds this week so far. WOOT

Last day of my first week!! It was a good week. I was able to get the exercise in easily although it was mostly walking and biking instead of videos due to my arthritis. I'll try to do more of the videos in the next week. I think moving more is making a difference in both my mood and my physical aches and pains. emoticon

Well, I'm a moderately fit woman who is overweight. I'm a teacher and throughout the fall semester I ran two miles twice a week. Since Christmas, I've upped that to three times a week. This past week, I managed to shave a minute off my per-mile pace. I did cardio (20 minutes a day) three other days and I added strength and core training in the non-running days as well. I'm now doing back stretches each morning. I also started tracking all the walking I do (I live overseas, don't own a car and walk to most places. This spring semester, I'll have to walk a mile just to get to my classrooms!)

And what did the scale say? A gain of four pounds! I'm not discouraged . . . I know it was a good week and eventually, the scale WILL go down!

1.5 pounds down and a ton more exercise than I am used to. I adjusted the exercises when necessary so that I could do them. I had no idea I was that inflexible! Next week will be better.

Week 1 was amazing. I have been good about doing my cardio (exercise of choice is the elliptical) but I have been procrastinating adding in strength or core training which I know I have to do. My abs are hurting today, but in a good way! Looking forward to week 2!

Fairly happy with my week 1 though I haven't managed to do a video a day. I managed on days the boys were at school but when they are here it's hard to find a space without someone small trying to join in and sit on my tummy, hold on to my arm and so forth ! By the time bedtime is over and done with I have forgotten about such things. Need to do some re-organisation so I have somewhere I can go off for 10 mins on my own I think.

I have done much better at cardo though, all real life stuff like gardening at the allotment which works better for me than doing made up exercises. Oh and some dance games on the wii with the boys. Even managed to do it without my hernia popping out which is the biggest thing limiting my ability to do such things currently.

Food wise I'm just trying to be sensible and get back to menu planning at the moment so I am more orgainsted and don't fall back on bad snack foods. I know I never loose weight by focusing just on food, the exercise is more important so need to get that back on track as a priority.

Oof, just finished the day 7 core workout -- it was super tough for me! I do a decent bit of lateral core work, but I've been neglecting my abs, it seems. That spot just under my solar plexis isn't speaking to me right now...

But I've made it through week one, YES!!! Normally it's really hard for me to be consistent about working out, so this challenge is helping a lot. And even though I'm sore some days, I'm actually feeling really good. I'm finding lots of ways to work out a little more, and I'm starting to think I'll make my goal weight even sooner than I had anticipated! ^_^

Week 1 my goals were to do the food, nutrition tracking, blog, do cardio- walking, Wii fit, or Zumba, do all 7 Spark videos and Biggest loser Wii program every day.
Reality was 1 missed video but 2 the next day, 7 days of tracking, 5 blogs, and 5ish biggest loser. Cardio was zumba 2x, walking 4 times-3x @30-40 minutes, and 1x at 3 hours.
So not perfect but at goal for Spark, so I am okay with it.
This did bring home that I have a problem with time management!

Week 1 was great. I met all my goals for exercise, food and water (stayed in range and tracked it all). I am traveling to see family this coming week, and we are in a crisis time right now, so week 2 will surely be a challenge, but I'm going to do my very best!!!

Ok this week fizzled out but tomorrow brings a new day and a new steak. This week I will keep an eye out for days where eating right and exercising is more difficult and plan ahead!!! In the past if I didn't complete the week 1 of a challenge or the fast break week PERFECTLY to the letter then I gave up and didn't come back to the site for a few months. This time I am learning from my mistakes and moving on. Week 2 I DO NOT FEAR YOU! ;) emoticon

Just finished week one! I just read The Spark, finished it right before New Years, so I started this challenge during my fast break. I've kept my streak going! It feels really good to be on track; usually I fizzle out right about now, but not this time! Next week my goals are to start eating healthier. I've tracked my food intake completely almost every day this week, and I know what I need to work on.

I'm going to have to take a little hiatus during week #2. My muscle pull is hurting too much. I will only be able to do the toning exercises in moderation. However, I intend to continue with ten minutes of cardio, now every day, and my stretching exercises. I am going to take a little break from my P.T. exercises, but will resume them with the toning exercises in week #3. I wish it wouldn't have happened like this, but I am learning a lot and very motivated. Also, my eating plan is alive and well.......Mentally, I have never felt better. Also, I think I mentioned I am having foot surgery next month. The foot doesn't bother me so much exercising, it is just when I walk. emoticon

As I'm in Australia, I finished week 1 yesterday and have been chaffing at the bit to look at week 2. It's thru now, thank you.

Week 1 was really great. I exercise every morning but I'm now doing the videos just before lunch as an extra, and they are great. Just enough for me to get off my butt and have another "go" before lunch time ... so I really appreciate this challenge and these videos. emoticon

Completed week 1. Ended the week with a "Day" of downhill skiing. Made 5 runs. The first one was worth any soreness I might, (will ) feel. This is where my exercise showed their results. I might not go out dancing tonight like my younger years, instead hitting the hot tub. ,but I am out there doing what I love again and that is priceless.

And 1 hour later, here I am and it feels good. Congratulations to everyone who was successful in completing this week and for those who had a slight hiccup, you could always start again. I actually started on Dec 27th and restarted on Jan 1. I am glad I did!

Finished week 1!! The ab workout was pretty intense. I'm proud of myself for not letting excuses get in my way this week. Looking forward to week 2.

Finished week 1! Had to move things around a little but managed to put it all in and had some fun doing it. My rest day was Friday as I was traveling, but I more than made up for it on Saturday with a run, 2 swims and the 15 min abs workout. Ready to tackle week 2!

Had someone I hadn't seen in a month or so tell me I look like I've lost a ton of weight...funny thing is I haven't, but I do think these 10 minute videos combined with the increased cardio are making a dent! (ahem, still working on that food intake part, but doing better...baby steps away from the bread basket, chips and salsa, wine bottle.....)

But yay - week one videos done (thanks to Coach Nicole I am now reminded that I have abs...they are so happy they're reminding me they are there every time I move - LOL!) and I'm looking forward to week 2!

BRING IT! emoticon
