Finished my 1st week and today's video was tough but Oh feel the burn and my rear is still burning from day 5s lol. I had a great week and I really think these videos and this challenge is helping. I lost 4 lbs this week Yeay! Almost in the 160s!

Thanks to finding Sparkpeople I am not paying the $40.00 a month I was paying for my other plan and I'm really liking this site way better than that other plans too! I just could not afford it anymore with our new baby and her activities including daycare etc. This is definitely a life-saver in more ways than one! Have a great weekend all! Kelly

Pam, if you have a smart phone you can watch them on the YouTube app. That's what I do and it literally puts the video right in your face so you don't have to crane your neck to see the monitor or TV and soon you'll be able to do the videos with just her voice prompts.

I finally finished week one. Some days were harder than others but I finished up with 431 fitness minutes including Cardio and the videos. I started the day with a 90 minute Spin class but then came home and pigged out on over 3,000 calories. Food is my biggest challenge, much more than working out, althought if I don't work out first thing I tend to slack, once the food monster has attacked I am more inclined to skip workouts. I was all set to skip today's video when it hit me that it's only 10 minutes (10 long minutes today with that ab routine) and I'm already 6 for 6 this week, how could I let the dread of one 10 minute video ruin that for me. Thanks Coach Nicole for giving me something to work out for on the nights when "doing it for myself" isn't enough.

I logged massive amounts of exercise this week! My abdominal muscles are a bit sore and my thighs are a little tight but that is about it. My energy level is great! The video for day 7 was a little rough. Did anyone else encounter the stop/start issue? I may just be my ISP.

I completed Week 1 of the challenge today. The video was very tough for me and I did the easiest version. I have back problems but was determined. I hope it gets better. I am wondering if there is an alternative video that isn't as tough but does some good. I plan to to Day 4 video (I think that is the one that helps my back) later before bed. I also enjoyed dancing to some old time rock and roll for about 10 minutes. Ah for the strength of the good ol days.

Finished Week 1, completely - even though I was away from home until late last night.

I didn't manage to do each video on the right day either - there isn't any need for embarrasment in admitting it.
On Monday I did Days 1 and 2, today I did Days 6 and 7.

Day 1 Cardio, Day 2 Lower Body, Day 6 Upper Body, and Day 7 Core - these are the workouts I found most difficult.
I was thrilled to bits when I tried the Pilates Lower Body workout - I was able to do it all - maybe not very good form or tone, but I even almost kept up with Coach Nicole! I last tried this video about 12 months ago - and I couldn't do it. Not just that I couldn't keep up - I actually could not do a number of the exercises. So progress is being made, even though it's sometimes invisible!

I am now "looking forward" to Week 2.
I'll add in some weight for the Day 3 Upper Body, and maybe for Day 6 as well.
I'll also maybe try to do the Day 1 cardio video as part of my daily cardio - I did that last
Tuesday, then had other cardio happening, the rest of the week. But I think that practice at it might help me cope with it much better!

I just now finished my Day 6 and Day 7 videos, and that completes Week 1! My enthusiasm isn't what it was at the beginning of the week, but I feel I'm still going strong and looking forward to the next week's challenges.

Hi Holly255255, I understand! I work, have kids and packed evenings. I am doing the videos as soon as the kids get in bed (I have had to pause and restart a few times), and then start cardio. The videos actually go by fast. I hope that helps, good luck!

Hi Team!
I completed week one today. It was a great workout week for me. I did cardio 6/7 days. I tracked it in my fitness tracker, which is viewable by the public from my Spark page. I did all the videos and they were great. I really need to work on my abs more, cause I can still feel the burn. I am looking forward to next week, and will try to track my food for at least 5/7 days. THanks for the great challenge! emoticon emoticon

Day 7 DONE! Abs are my downfall. I have back problems so need to strenghthen my back abs for sure. I've found I've added other excercises: arms and other abs earlier this week.

Just completed week 1. Video 7 was the absolute hardest for me. Even doing some of those exercises on the lowest level felt impossible to my body. I would have liked the lowest level to be demonstrated rather than just explained so that I could see what I was trying to make my body do. I have great respect for Coach Nicole that she does those exercises with such ease. Am glad to have completed week 1!

Ugh - I am so behind on the videos. I had a goal to do the 10 min videos each morning and I have failed miserably. I do all my cardio after work and with family, I can't seem to get 10 minutes to do it in the evening. Okay - that is not true. I have 10 minutes but after cardio, dinner, clean-up etc, I am out of energy. I am going to do catch-up today and get serious next week for week 2.

Anyone else falling behind? It is embarassing to admit because the video are so short!!

Finished week one today. The videos were challenging and interesting enough to me to keep me motivated. I did cardio only 4 days because work interfered with life and sleep this week but I am planning on 5 days next week.

Week 1 Friday 5 (Posted Saturday)
I completed the strength training. Pilates is not my favorite-probably because I need to work those areas the most. I am not as strong as the result of long-term infections. I completed my cardio, and did a great deal of work around the house. Today, I will probably rest from much activity. I am hoping this will allow me to get going and begin to return to my former level, and on to more challenging things.

Completed Week One! Did very good on the videos each day (this last Ab one kicked my booty though). Love the upper body ones! Did very well on my eating and charting all my food for 7 days. Did not do as well as I would have liked on the cardio. I did cardio 6 days but I would like to either go a little longer next week on each one....or bump up the intensity a little bit. That's my goal! Great job everyone one your success this week! emoticon

I'm not going to write about week 7 until tonight. One reason is I still have videos #6 and #7 to do.

I really enjoyed the new videos. After watching the intro to Pilates that was recommended before doing day 4, I found that I understood the breathing a lot better. I even found myself doing some similar breathing while I was out on my walk/jogs. I have been doubling up on the videos (or sometimes tripling) because I'm still trying to finish the 28-day bootcamp I started in December. I found that I liked the intensity of the extra workouts. The only time this is problematic is the day three videos are the same on both challenges. I guess I will choose a different video to try next time this rolls around. After next week, I may try looking for some other workouts on the site. I really enjoyed the Pilates from day 4, and hope I can find some more Pilates type workouts on the site.

Some things that I like about the challenge: I like the 10 to 15 minute workout packages. They are easier to fit around my schedule than longer videos that I have. I like the weight training (Even though I am only using 2 pound weights). I like the stretching that is part of every video.

Ruth

Week one done! I loved the core workout today. I did 2.5 miles in 37 minutes. My plan for week two is to do the videos twice.

Week one done!! I did the videos each day (only 1x) so my goal in week 2 is to do each video 2x per day. Took my day off cardio in the middle of the week during a day I was on the road. Had another day that I only got in 10 minutes, but it is better than nothing I guess. Did much better on my water intake this week. Amazing how thirsty you are after good workouts :) Tracked my food every day ~ some days it was pretty ugly.

I have 2 goals for week 2:
1) do strength videos 2x per day
2) stay within my calorie range every day

Looking forward to week 2!! emoticon

Week One done:) It was fun, I loved the short toning workouts. Next week will be a bit tricky with business travel, but I'm going to plan for it so I don't have to miss a day.
