According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) our bodies energy or Qi is in constant motion that ‘peaks’ every 2 hours with one of our internal organs which means that during this time period the organ is most active. Working in sync with our internal organs helps us to achieve good health. If the energy is blocked or out of balance, symptoms will be more noticeable during the organs active 2 hour period.

7.00am to 9.00am is the time of the Stomach. The stomach is the organ that is responsible for the breaking down and digestion of our food intake and this is the time for a good breakfast. The name says it all: Break – Fast. Your body has been busy during the night working while you sleep and it has been a long time since your last meal. It is better to eat the largest meal early in the day when the stomach is at its ‘peak’ and better able to absorb the nutrients from the food to prepare the body for mental alertness and work.

Joyful Moment - All you need to do today is:

To have a good breakfast, preferably hot or warm that is high in fibre; has some protein and good fats. It is important that you do not rush breakfast but to sit down at the table and eat in peace and quiet, to take your time so that you can enjoy this most important part of the morning. By getting up early you will be able to allow about 15 to 20 for this time of the morning, building on you positive forward thinking, mentally planning your day so that it too can go like clockwork and giving you a ‘Feel Good’ feeling at the start of your day.
