Congrats on the God Son! That is great! Sounds like you still had a rocking week! You are so right about it coming within us to push ourselves harder and that is exactly what I have been doing lately and burning about 10% more than I did previously. I am loving the Push phase too. I just need heavier weights so I am using bands with the weights to get the resistance I need. I hope you have an awesome week!

End of Week 5!

Excited about starting the Push phase, I started strong, but it was one of those "life got in the way" weeks.

My Godson decided to arrive 9 days early (Thursday, around 1 in the morning), so I traded some workouts for hospital visits Thursday and Friday -- TOTALLY WORTH IT, and I am so in love.

Also, I participated in the ADA Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes at the zoo with several other Sparkies (my first time meeting anyone from SparkPeople in person!), and what was officially a 5K ended up being 8-1/2 miles because Mom and I parked at Heather's house, walked to the zoo, did the walk, walked around the zoo some more when it was done, and walked back to the car. Spent the rest of the day with Mom (lunch, taking her to see the baby, farmers' market), so I did get plenty of exercise, just not program workouts.

Even though I missed a handful of sessions, I feel good about how I prioritized this week. I did all three Push workouts, so I'm satisfied because that's the area of my fitness I am really focusing on improving right now. Yes, the cardio conditioning is important, but the TF workouts don't challenge me to the same extent they did the first time through. I know that challenge has to come from within myself, I am just concentrating on things like form and being able to work without visual prompts in this round, as opposed to having to summon the will and energy to make it through the long videos anymore.

Not worrying about making anything up, since we are not doing HIITs this month. Just going to move on to next week and start fresh.
