Week 1, day 1 of the challenge. I rode my bike ont the bike trail for 15 minutes, actually we rode off the paved trail and on the paths. I also walked down to the river and back for only a half a mile total, but I am counting the bike ride too for a total of 20 minutes of cardio today. I plan on doing some strength training later.

Just started with the bootcamp challenge today. Can somebody tell me how to enter the exercises you do with the challenge onto your fitness record? Hopefully, I keep motivated to continue.

I'm sorry to say but I'm dropping out of this challenge again. I have type 1 diabetes and I'm not doing well. I was trying to do too much at once so I will be attempting this again later and focusing only on the diabetes challenge for now so that I can start slow and build it up instead of burning myself out by jumping all in at once.

Going to start today. I though it was too late to start so I didn't do it, but seeing others just beginning encourages me to go for it. I've always started & stopped due to an injury. I had to wait until I got beter lead me to frustration. I just have to take it slow. Still determined!

Life is a gift and a wonder, appreciate every moment. :)

I'm on Day Three on my first try of the Bootcamp challenge...loving it so far! I am using this Bootcamp to spring my rededication into action. I am trying to lose the 16 pounds I regained after losing my initial 30 on Sparkpeople.com about two years ago...just in time for my wedding in October...woo hoo! Loving the challenge, it gives me a goal to reach every day. Thanks, SparkPeople, and keep up the good work, team!

I just started this yesterday and i feel energized and great already. Though as I looked through the exercises for later in the week i saw i need a resistance band, but i don't have one. Is there another exercise i can do in place of the ones that use it?

Restarted today :). I injured my back just after starting in May by lifting a heavy item wrong. It made me realize how much I want to be healthy and in shape again!
To all of you who are in the midst of it, it feels great doesn't it? I really noticed after 2 weeks the first time I did a challenge.
Stick with it! emoticon

NANCY-Have you seen the blog on sneaking exercise in at work? Look for it on the Community Board, it's a great idea. Whenever I can I do some wall-pushups, pilates style arm pulses, and when I'm sitting, calf raises. I also have a stretchy strap that I use to do a few arm exercises. emoticon

Day 1 is today!

Going to be a challenge as I usually work 16 hours a day, almost every day. I definitely have to break my exercising up into 10 minute intervals, so I think this will fit in perfectly.

I have a couple of days a week I will wake up early and give up some beauty sleep. LOL
Plus the weekend I can usually get a good cardio in both days.

I am determined to make this work. I have tried before and gave myself excuses to not get up early, or that I didn't have the time to do a full 30 minute block each day.

No more. I am starting all over!

JENMC14-Yes you can break up the cardio throughout the day. It is best to do the thirty minutes at once (keep your heart rate up for thirty minutes) but if you don't have a thirty minute block of time then the next best thing is to break it up. Maybe you can even get an extra ten minutes in that way. emoticon

My goals for this challenge are 30min cardio daily and I'll do the 10 min video also. I'm hoping to break through this plateau I've been stuck on. I've got 20 pounds to lose...and I'm definitely ready to work. My biggest problem is my eating. I work 12 hr night shifts and out of boredom or being tired, the food makes it to my mouth. I'm also going to track my food during the challenge. I think it will make all the difference, keeping me accountable!!

I'm going to start on Sunday. I am looking to change up my workouts and get a big more excited about it. I'm really looking to change up my cardio, but hopefully changing up my strength training as well will help me break my plateau.

Question: Can I break the cardio up throughout the day, or does it need to be one 30 (+) minutes session?

I am 5'4".

I am on Week 1, day 3!! and i was not able to go for my scheduled run today which is 30 mins cardio but i loved the 7minute legs and bums this morning so am going to make up the cardio when the kids go down in a bit, jump vid, kickboxing and 15 hard slog on the eliptical in the bedroom! :)
Im feeling really good about the exercising but its the food i need to seriously take control of!! but this week im just letting it flow! as an experiment to see what i was eating! so far im eating between 150-600 calories than im meant to!! :(

But im burning more than 200 cal a day?? also today we were walking around an agricultural show for 3 hours and intermittently had a heavy 4 yr old on my shoulders! so im hoping all is not lost!!
