I'd like all of us Breakers to post one thing that really made a difference and helped us get here. I want to see all my fellow 200's be 100s!

For me, I learned a fact that allowed me to say NO! to all food temptations. The fact is this. Take the 'extra' calories of the food that is tempting you. Divide by 10. This is the pounds that this food is "worth" in one year. So if you're eating 200 cal too much each day, you will be 20 lbs heavier in one year. If you eat 200 calories less each day you will be 20 lbs LESS in one year.

I look at each food and ask myself if it is worth the pounds. So I look at a 250 cal piece of cake and ask myself if it is worth being 25 lbs fat. Is this cookie worth 18 lbs? Are these chips worth 23 lbs? When I saw food as lbs it was NEVER worth it to indulge!

I was able to say no to 2-3 temptations a day! At about 200 cal each this means 40-60 lbs a year!

I hope this trick helps you!

(How it works: A pound is 3500 calories. A year is about 350 days (forget the extras). In the course of a year, a 200 cal. deficit is worth 20 lbs. with no other changes.)

The only way to loose this game is to QUIT!
