I just want them to fix the inconsistencies. It is so hard to get into a story line when mentally you are picking it apart.

"why didn't they reinforce the fence?"
"how is it that Michonne/Daryl haven't been able to track the Gov, who is trying to die, down".

It is hard for me to believe that there are very many truly evil people in the world. There are people who have chosen to do horrible things either because of circumstance, or because of poor education, but there aren't many in the world who are really and truly evil. It was inconsistent of the writers to have you believe the Gov is really evil, then show a soft side of him, only to try to make you believe he is evil again.

That and no more stupid split seasons for crying out loud. Make them longer if you need to, but quit splitting them in half. People just find it down right annoying.

A smile is a curve that can set things straight!

The main problem is that sustaining the terror of an increasingly dangerous world in perpetuity is well nigh impossible for even really creative souls. There is a reason that even the best horror movies end in two hours or less.

I had to laugh at Mistake Number 3 - Not enough quiet moments

Really?

Much of the first two seasons had the drone of cicadas as the only dialogue. Rick has stared off into space for a LOT of season 4 and as FKF pointed out, there was some poignant singing from Beth in lieu of actual dialogue.

I thought there was an inordinate amount of time spent driving down lonely highways with us watching pinched and nervous faces. There was almost NO significant dialogue in the last few Gov episodes. Just some catatonic wandering, sitting around drinking beer or lobbing golf balls and running into muddy zombies.

I was sorry to see Hershel go.

My money was on Maggie dying so that Glen could spend half the next series of episodes wandering around catatonic before going all Farmer Rick on us. Maybe it will be Maggie who does it instead.

As it is, This last episode was a complete re-do of the season ender when they got run off the farm: Lots of violence and death and the group being scattered to the far winds.

Re: " brilliance of the first two" seasons...that "moved the plot along quickly".

WTF? The author obviously did not watch the same season 2 that I did!

Other than that I mostly agree. As long as the "quiet moments" do not involve Beth singing.
