The NUUN tablets are a great electrolyte additive to water. They add just a bit of carbonation to water, as well. You can order online, or you might check with local bicycle shops. I work for a small, local water delivery and retail business, and we sell them, too. For those looking for a replacement for sodas, I really like the cola flavored ones. They do have a few calories, unlike diet sodas (similar to Crystal Light), but they taste great (better than a Diet Coke, in my opinion, so well worth the few calories!)

Two things...
1. My little brother is in the military (he is a medic) and he said when people are dehydrated they are given room temp/slightly warm (well, in Iraq I guess room temp is warm) water to drink because apparently it hydrates you faster/better than cold water. I drink room temp water when I work out and like it.

2. Not for working out, but throughout the day, sparking water with lime is fantastic! Yum :)

Has anyone tried those flavor dispensers that you can add to your Brita pitcher to flavor your water?

ETA: Err, rather your Pur pitchers, not the Brita ones.

Sliced apples in the water are really good! I've also put lemon slices and basil leaves in my water... it gives it a very interesting and refreshing flavor.

I also drink a LOT of green tea.

I'm doing pretty good with just plain water, but sometimes I need a little something more. Since I'm trying, again!, to give up soda, I think I'll look into those Crystal Light singles. They sound really good. emoticon

I used to drink a LOT of soda, but not one single sip since I started with SP. So to make it easer to get my water goal in I bought a 1-liter jug and keep it by me all day. If I am having a day that the plain water is getting to me I usually squeeze some lemon in and I am ok. I try to make it a goal to not add any crystal light (I like the green tea raspberry) until I drank 8 cups of plain water. So far it seems to be working for me.

I've tried the strawberries, but only in seltzer water. It's actually surprising how much flavor you can get from them:)

If you like the carbonation from soda, there is always sparkling water or sparkling mineral water with flavors. There all natural. Calistoga is one and there is Pelegrino. They are a little pricey, but worth the treat.

Goal to lose 12 lbs by February 22, 2008, when I go off for a weekend alone with hubby. DONE!

Goal #2: Lose 7 pounds by March 19, 20 years together with my husband. Still working on it. But had a fun time.

I have a couple of tricks... Because the crystal light adds calories to the water... and I also just hate artificial swetners, I found that i really don't need the whole package in a 20 oz bottle of water. i found that 1 package of the single serving can last me anywhere between 4-5 20 oz bottles of water. The trick, just adding a little at a time to make the water have a tiny kick of flavor. That way, the calories I'm adding through out my day equal only 1 package, not 5... And too then I have just what i need to make the water more appetizing. The other thing I do is ALWAYS have ice cold water and last but not least. the healthiest option i do is to add fresh fruit to my water. I've used lemon (or those artificial lemons), lime, strawberry and oranges in my water. If i put it in 1st thing in the morning (squeeze it into my bottles), it adds enough flavor for me without all the sugar the water adding flavors will add; plus then it's all ready each time I go into the fridge for more water. :)

Yes decaffeinated tea counts. Just make sure you count the calories if you add sugar.

I have a really hard time with water. I really like the punch that carbonation gives and the cola taste. But I am very proud of myself because I reached my water goal two days in a row. emoticon I only had one soda both days. I am going to do my best to completely quit drinking sodas. I have tried before and couldn't. But I have been really motivated from this site. I have been adding the green tea mix with the bottled water. And it is okay. Does drinking regular decaffeinated tea count at water? emoticon

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.

I have to agree with the Crystal Light People:) I just found out that it comes in a 2 quart jug now. So, whenever I use one of those up (quickly), I can add my own tub and make more:) Also, the Aquafina Carbonated waters are great as well:)

I drink LOTS and LOTS of refrigerated water. Can't stand it straight out of the tap. Not cold enough.

If I get too hot or too much water in one day, I slip in some Gatorade powder for a pick-me-up. I also drink at least two cups of herbal tea a day. It has no caffeine and it has many different flavors for different moods.

I don't usually use ice because I can't keep it long enough. I use so much of it. I don't see myself going out and buying bags of store bought ice and my ice cube trays are almost always empty in the hot months. In the winter, it takes so long for me to use one tray that the water evaporates and I get at the most half a cube. Not fun.

I also use the crystal light singles - especially the green tea flavors. I have a one hour commute to work, so I keep a bottle in the car and drink on the way (not good if you hit traffic though!!)

I also like the fruit flavored sparkling waters (Walmart and Target's brands are good).

You can also add a slice of citrus or cucumber to water to give it some extra flavor.

I constantly have a hard time drinking the water. I have a 1L water jug I carry with me all the time and I try to drink 2 of those a day. Sometimes though I just can't do it so I try to have Crystal Light Singles on hand to add a little flavor to my water. I also eat lots of fruit, esp watermelon as its loaded with water.
