Yeah yesterday was a really bad day. I sat down to eat dinner and 5 min afterwards I was a sleep. So I did not get to log dinner, blog, catch up on chat board or even get my girls registered for Wet and wild reward party they earned for girl scout.
Weighed in this morning, I think I have hit a platue I know I am starting again but I did not gain any weight BUT THE GREAT NEWS IS emoticon I didn't gain weight. I can even check off week one myself and move on to week two.

Lots to read and do here! Seems a lil overwhelming, but I figure I will track stuff, walk, and figure out a shopping list. Then read in the spare time ;)

Week 1, day 6 - yesterday I was on track, except for my sodium - very high. This happens to me once every couple of weeks. I tend to have all my fave high sodium foods in one day. I find it's better to have one "off" day, rather than stretch it out over the week.
As for the challenge, I think I have to rev up my excercise, otherwise, I'm feeling pretty good.

Messed my daily balance up with a portion of lemon cheesecake and felt rough for it. Lesson learned.
Exercised according to plan though. Knees holding up fine! emoticon

Good luck and stay strong, Everyone.

Good afternoon all. Day ONE for me. I am not new to sparks but I am new to this team. Maybe if I would have stuck with my original plan way back when, I may not be in my current situation. None-the-less, here I am and I am going to make this work, and hopefully along the way I will lose the weight.

Keeping my 3 sets of 15 mins exercise going.

Had the energy to clear through my entire clothes closet too.

Plus the sun is shining - and we haven't had a lot of that in the last few weeks in the UK!

Morning all. Well last night was very interesting. Yes that was the football couch from my kids high school. No none of my kids were involved with the situation but 2 of by boys were on the football team. My daughter who goes there and is getting sworn in to NHS tonight never had him. So I guess I feeling relieved but at the same time not sure what to think. He seem to be a nice enough guy.

Today has been a hard day. My FBG was 200, up 2 points from yesterday so about the same, but previously it was going down every day. Maybe I should have had a better snack before bed. Then I went and took a gardening class and by the end of it I was so tired I couldn't even walk to the car. Took a rest then got to the car and my BG was 178. That's 2 hours after breakfast. Ate a couple pieces of beef jerkey, drank a water and felt better. Realized when I got home that although I was grafting oranges (Which I'm not allergic to) onto the root stock, the root stock was from a lemon tree (which I AM allergic to) and that explains the sniffles and possibly some of the feeling sick. Missed the gym and wasn't able to ride my trike, Had lunch and a nap, now going out back to water the plants and get some walking in before dinner.

Hiya,Day 4 of restarting week 1..
My morning sugar was 6.4 115.2 so I'm in a good mood..
I think I'll take some advice from a member to go really low carbs or zero carbs for a few weeks to try get my sugar alot lower.. Then I'll start adding the carbs back...
It seems that the carbs spike my sugar so much its scary seeing my sugar go up and down the whole day.. So I'm gonna try this just to see what happens...
I'm doing walk away the miles on youtube at the moment as its just so easy and gives a good sweat and gets the heart up...
I'm off to do that right now..
success all emoticon Tisha

I did pretty well yesterday.i was very active with packing for a move and got very hungry last night so I had an apple. It put me over in calories for the day, but I think I needed them with all the activity. Sore today. FBG good today, weight the same, but I feel swollen from the packing. Onward today. Working on making it a good day, staying within my calories and eating well. Lot's to do today!

It was a rough weekend for me. I couldn't get online and had mcdonalds, but no starbucks. I was so shaky because it had been a few hrs since i ate that I just grabbed the easiest thing. I did have a kids meal and i didn't drink the soda so not too bad. Wed i go to the dr to see if i am diabetic or just pre and if i am what the plan is. a little nervous Just hoping this is a better week

Today is Day 1 for me...
Really struggling with depression right now, but I'm hopeful and ready to do what I need to to keep from getting diabetes. I am pre-diabetic at this point. Diabetes runs in my family, and I weigh 300 lbs right now, so I know I am at a great risk.
Taking the first step today!

Today is D1W1 of this challenge and I can't wait to see what happens with it. emoticon

I wrote this original post at 2 am CST before I went to bed. It is now 10:15 am CST and I am getting ready to go for a 15 minute walk before I get started on my studies for the day. My plan is to walk for 15 minutes each morning to get me going and a 10-minute cardio every other day as well. Let's see how it works out and if it's enough to win this week's BL challenge with my daughter.

Yes! This morning my FBS was 138. I know that this is high, however it is much better than three days ago. Three days ago my blood sugar was 217. I am so excited. I have not seen FBS in the 100's for about a year. emoticon

What made the difference so far?
* testing my blood sugar
* walking for just 13 min.
* drinking 4 cups of plain water
* tracking my food for one day

Thank you Jesus!!! I want to live!!!

Hi all,
I am starting over again. I am prediabetic and was very successful when I took this challenge the first time. I was able to control things and lose weight. Dropped my FBG about 15 points. However, over the last 2 months I seem to have gotten no where so I am starting back. I have more weight to lose to reach my bmi goal and I hope to be able to do that with the help of the support group and writing. I have never had problems exercising, my big problem is I love food and I get too hungry if I work out too much so it is finding the right balance. And after menopause losing is harder. Wish me luck.

I find the site challenging to negotiate also. Keep at it....there is so much good information on here, it is totally worth the effort. There is something that will fit everyone's needs and it helps to find out there are people just like you here. Some are nearly at goal, some just starting just like you. Stay positive. We can all get there.
