I actually repeated week one since I didn't feel I was ready to go on, it was a good choice and I will do week 2 day 1 tomorrow. The first week I lost 3.8 lbs! so I am hoping for good things when I weigh in tomorrow as well

I just finished day 3 of week 2. Just like a few of you, I did not think I could do it. But I did. One thing I noticed is that I could walk at a faster pace than I did during week one. I'm on the treadmill so it's easy to track that. During my walk I build and lower the incline and on my "crosstraining" days I walk on the treadmill with ever increasing and decreasing inclines to build up the endurance.

I will start week 3 while I am on vacation....
great exercise wishes to all!!

I did my first day of week 2 last night. It was awesome! It was a little tougher, but I think I was ready for that. I actually look forward to the work outs now. I can't wait for my next walk/jog.
Keep up the good work!!

Hang in there, you can do it. I was shocked I was able to get thru week 1, but was afraid to tackle week 2 so I am going to do week 1 again. If I do that I feel sure I will be able to tackle week 2 and whip it!

Courage, GEOP1956! Don't let the drowning person drown you. Focus tightly on your own vision and your reasons for it, and enjoy the Arizona early mornings outside. Once you give yourself the gift of morning, you'll be fortified for the rest of the day. Good luck!

I just finished week 2 day 2. Monday will be day 3 for me. I use a treadmill and up the incline occasionally. But after smoking for 25 years and being quit for 12 years I think I am finally seeing a breakthrough in my breathing. I guess I never pushed hard enough. I'm glad this program gives me a plan. My crosstraining consists of a cardio dvd and power sculpting.

Here is my problem...next Tues. we go on vacation to Arizona where we will stay with people that love to party, stay up late and never exercise. Also breakfast consists of things like eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and pancakes EVERYDAY...and when I try to just take one egg and some hashbrown more food gets thrown on my plate. Last time I stayed with them we almost had a fight and I decided that it was not worth a friendship. It's her way of "taking care of people she loves" Kind of like a mom. I'm going to try really hard to not drink as much as they do and then get up early to go outside to workout. It will be fun after being in all this snow.

thanks for listening to my whine.

I used to be a competitive runner in high school. I even lettered in my sport at 2 different high schools. I have been out of it for 22 years and I wasn't sure if I could get back into it without suffering injury. I am doing the walk/jog 5K so that I don't hurt myself in the process! I am proud of myself for starting week 2. I can't wait to see how I do at the end!

Just completed week one of the walking program! Will be starting week two on Monday. I am not worried about it at all. I could probably already walk a 5K but wanted to take it slow. When I am done with the walking program I will start the jogging one. YAY! I love these programs!

I'm really liking this program so far. I'm not a runner yet, more of a wogger (walk/jog) but I love having a schedule and seeing my endurance improving each time. I'm on week two, and just completed Day 2 today. Best of luck to everyone!

So far I haven't seen anyone older than me announce their age but if it does turn out I'm the oldest, so be it - I'll be 65 in a couple of weeks - eeek! But I'm really doing pretty well for an overweight old lady with arthritis in my feet, ankles & knees - so far, I have managed to jog a lot more than I ever expected I would, and hope to increase it even further with the help of this program - not sure how much 'jogging' I'll do vs 'walking' but I will do my best.

Have a great Week 2!!

I finished up week 1 last night. And I'll be starting Week 2 officially on Wednesday. Based on my schedule - it's better for Wednesday to be start of my week (in terms of my exercise routine).

I've gone back and forth between this program and the casual running program. I'm pretty much in between. And I was surprised that I couldn't handle week 1 of the running program. It's not discouraging at all - but very eye-opening to see where I am physically.

My cardio is very lacking - so I'm really pleased with this program to get me going! emoticon

I hope everyone has a PHENOM WEEK 2!!!

I did week 2, day 1 today! :D I did pretty well and I'm pleased with myself. I'm not much of a runner, either, but I am really liking how this program steps you up gradually. It's not nearly as scary as I thought it was! (Well, I say that now ...)

I'm 63 too and just got back from jog/walking day 1 of week 2! Wow! I feel great! I tried it outside in our neighborhood park for the first time since it was sunny and 38 degrees. It is really neat jogging outside. Thank goodness we don't have any hills in the park!

The only way I can keep track of my speed ups and slower is to do a lot of counting and this morning as I was doing that I laughed at myself at 63 training to do a virtual 5K and how proud I am to do this.

To truth is that age really has nothing to do with what we can do - at least that is my motto emoticon Sounds like we could have some things in common MINXIE3 I turned 62 in January and am determined that this next season of my life is going to be awesome emoticon

I never thought for a minute that at 63 I could do a running program. Never to old, I guess.

One day at a time!

Stay Healthy!

Be not afraid of going slowly; Be afraid only of standing still.

This is the year to get to goal.

I do what I need to do what I want.

I can't believe I actually made it thru Week 1 since running is just not my thing. I am looking forward to conquering Week 2 emoticon
