I just went from a Fitbit Zip to a Charge HR! I loved my zip, but after 3+ years of faithful service it finally went on the fritz. Now it's time to log those steps and get mooooooving!!!

I got my fitbit flex FREE at my job!! They're trying to have a wellness program where we can earn points to be used to reduce our health insurance costs next year (the only problem is that they keep canceling the activities & not replacing them). So my goal is to get 10,000 steps a day, starting on 2/8, as that earns me 2 points a day at my job.

02/07: 4,232 steps
02/08: 11,694 steps, 60 active minutes
02/09: 10,738 steps, 53 active minutes
02/10: 13,386 steps, 65 active minutes

This week's goal is 84,000 steps. Still taking it easy on my knee but go back to orthopedic Dr 2/9 to see what MRI shows.

Charge HR. Foot surgery on 1/22. Stitches were removed on Thursday, 2/4. The foot is very tender but I'm going to strive for 10,000 a day. There is a very fine line right now beteen overdoing it and staying active. Will do my best to be smart! Head up!!

I should probably amend the Run Distance to be some sort of treadmill check box. On the treadmill for those dist/times, but cool down etc. a fair percentage is walking.

Thank you Raul for continuing with these challenges. Ive been away from the challenge but now its time to get back on track. My computer has been upgraded to Windows 10 and I've downloaded the fitbit ap. Hope it works as well.

My goal for this week is 50,000 steps. emoticon

I'm staying at 8,000 steps per day for 56,000 steps per week tracked on my Flex.

2/12: 288 - according to my Flex - not even close - my Flex kind of took the day off - I charged it in the morning at work but apparently it wasn't working properly. When I checked it last night it had a really low number. I put it back on the charger - even though I thought it was charged - and then it seemed to work after that. I had that happen once before. Not sure why it does that - apparently I work it too hard. I don't think so! I should be getting in way more steps than I do in a day. I used to do 10,000+ and am trying to get back up to that amount. I had been doing pretty well this week and thought I could make the 56,000. I'm sure I've got that many in, I just don't have the proof on my Flex.

I'll be sticking with my current goals: 6000 min steps/day, 80000 steps/week, 350 active minutes, 250 floors. It's been working, so I'm not going to mess with success!

I made most of my goals, got at least 6000 steps/day, ended up with 404 active minutes and 504 floors (doubled that goal!), but came up short on the step total for the week, with 77576 steps. 2 days of cross country skiing adds up for the active minutes and floors but shorts me on the steps! But I love it so no matter...

I am going to keep my daily goal to 27,000 steps per day and keep my weekly goal to 200,000. Due to FitBit.com not having access to the original dashboard I will now be tracking my Active Minutes. My goal is to keep it above 150 minutes per day. I will also be tracking my mileage and my goal is to walk 12 miles per day. I will also be tracking my floors climbed but as I don't really encounter many steps in my travel I will be interested in seeing how high I can get this number on a daily basis. Keep moving people, I know I will! DON'T GIVE UP!!!

We are still #1 in the Computer & Electronics category?! That is amazing! As of the posting of this post, we are now at (drum roll please!) 62,263 members strong! That is (continue with a drum roll please!) 41 less than last week! That is an increase of (double gulp) 771 members from last week!!! Thanks to Santa our numbers continue to skyrocket this past week and should continue to skyrocket for the next few weeks! I read so much chatter about FitBit's new wrist activity products. Some good, some not so good. I am interested in obtaining one and comparing it's readings to my trusty One. I wonder how they would compare. I would love to know which FitBit product you are currently using.

2016 continues to be huge! Our membership has increased over 7,537 members these past seven weeks! And, in addition to the Blaze, FitBit is introducing another new stylish tracker known as the Alta. The unit is extremely stylish and extremely thin. Will you be looking to replace your FitBit tracker with the newest member of the FitBit family?

Also, for our American football fans, today is the largest party day of the year; otherwise, known as Super Bowl Sunday! There will be some fun times with family and friends and, as usual, a ton of food available for the taking. Here are some tips to help you keep your sanity during the food-for-all fest. Try eating a small meal before you show up at the big party. Also, make it a point to drink equal parts water to any alcoholic beverage you may be drinking that day. Finally, make sensible choices. Have those sweets but don't forget your vegetables. Most of all spend time with your loved ones, enjoying the game and the great commercials!

I totaled 1,112 Active Minutes for the week or 158 Active Minutes per day on average. I traveled a grand total of 86.08 miles of 12.30 miles per day and I climbed 57 floors this past week. Not a great week but a good week nevertheless. I am ready to amp it up next week, are you?
