Sunday....not so good....

1. It was rainy, so I didn't walk outside except long enough to get from buildings to my car and vice versa. I worked and went to Walmart, so did manage to get 2073 steps.

3. 100% cranberry-grape juice for breakfast and for supper. But had McDonald's fries for lunch (it was my idea to go to Subway, but I was overruled). But I ordered small fries. And had ketchup on them - isn't that in the vegetable group?

I took a walk in the park and on the playground with my son and husband while at a company picnic (crawfish boil) this Sunday. I saw kids throwing rocks up the enclosed tube slide - which made my little boy laugh and laugh. I saw people playing horeshoes and cool, old cars in the parking lot.

I sort of dropped the ball today - my 12.5+ year old doggy boy is having some sort of neurological issues, so spent the morning at the vet and afternoon mostly sitting with him. I did get out this evening with my other dog (who's a worried little mess about her buddy) and we played ball for awhile, and a "find it" game where I hit things and she had to find them. That helped both of us! While we were out there, I saw a gorgeous magpie, a new yellow flower I didn't recognize (going back with fieldguide!) and terrific cloud formations from the current cold snap. I did eat my veggies and fruits.

emoticon I ran on the treadmill today so I certainly didn't see anything interesting.

emoticon Went to FANGFACEKITTY's page. She lives in Michigan and did an AWESOME 2 mile run today!

emoticon I had a banana with breakfast, an apple with lunch, and grapes with dinner.

I took a walk outside this afternoon and saw the one peony bush has buds that do look promising for beautiful pink flowers to come. Also, I saw trees blossoming at various speeds - the pink are behind the white and I saw the different shades of grass where it had been mowed, but most of all where the new blades from planted seeds this spring were much lighter green.

1. I went for an hour walk after work on Friday. I saw kids playing soccer in the field. I saw the trees beginning to bud. And I saw the Dairy Queen!

2. I have not looked into anyone's else's profile. I feel a bit strange doing that at this point in the game. Perhaps I will do that once I make some friends/contacts here on SP.

3. Since Friday I've had blueberries, bananas, watermelon, broccoli, tossed salad (Mixed greens), oranges, beets, a mango and raspberries.

4. I blogged a couple of times since the challenge began.

Saturday!!!

1. Walked outside at a craft and music festival. Lots of cool crafts to see. And lots of flowers in bloom all over town. Logged 5831 steps on the pedometer for the whole day.

3. 100% cranberry-grape juice for breakfast. Veggie burger with peppers and onions (HAS to count) and fried potatoes (maybe not so much) for lunch (at a booth manned by firemen, NOT a fast food place) for lunch, and the last third of my Veggie D'Lite left over from Friday for supper.

Walk - Took a walk in one of our large public parks. It also has horse trails.
1. I was able to watch some riders getting riding lessions.
2. Jazzercize class on the basketball court. (Glad no one wanted to play hoops.)
3. Huge grill in the back of a pickup truck. It was fired up. Must be a massive picnic
in the park at noon. Glad I walked early.

Fruits and Veggies- banana, apricots, tomatoes, zucchini, corn, cauliflower, carrots

1, emoticon Saw an unfinished two story duplex. The workmen were just finishing up for the day. Saw the door to my neighbor open so asked if she had delivered her baby yet. Nope. Did not see anyone else out and about. Heard thunder in a distance.

1. Take a walk outside, posting on this thread three interesting things that you saw on your walk.
Took a 90 min. walk this morning and walked past some new houses being built, saw several people I know, and a black cat!!

2. Visit the page of a Slowest Loser who you do not know and then post back here who you visited and two facts about them that you learned from their SparkPage.

Visted RENOSHEILA's page and learned that she is an animal lover, free lance writer and her husband is retired and that they have become gyspies!!!


3. Eat at least 3-5 veggies each day and post here which ones you ate. Yesterday I ate grapes, strawberries, carrots, tomatoes, & green beans.

FRIDAY!

1. Walking: more inside than outside, even though it was an awesome day. Walked 1000 steps at the mall (probably more, but that is what my pedometer recorded) and a total of 4429 steps for the day (seems low, but walking slowly with my clients doesn't register much). Outside sights: flowering trees and shrubs! It's spring in New England! (And allergy season. Yuck!)

3. Fruits & veggies for the day: 100% cranberry-grape juice and salsa on my egg for breakfast, Veggie D'Lite at Maki of Japan at the mall for lunch, salad for supper, and an orange for a snack.

1. I ran and walked on two separate occasions. On my walk with my dad, I didn't see too much that was interesting. A dead bird in the street :(, a car with MU BB FAN as the license plate, and a basketball hoop that fell down outside someone's house.

2. I went to ISILWEN's page. I learned she is a Christian! And that she is a stay at home mom with three kids.

3. I had a couple servings of raspberries, a couple servings of black grapes, and a Granny Smith apple today.

4. I wrote a blog entry earlier today about what I've learned on Spark so far!

Friday Report (it's the weekend, right?).

emoticon I went to LunchMom1's page and learned that she lives about an hour down the road from me here in Nevada and we both hike some of the same places - how cool it that?
emoticon Veggies - today I had eggplant parmesan, green beans, a salad of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, green pepper, and cucumber.
emoticon Lily and I went for nice 45-min walk after supper and saw a nice little brown lizard catching the last of the sun, a red-tailed hawk being harassed by crows, and lots of Gambel's Quail scurrying around the sagebrush.

I intend to do them all exzcept the walk outside as it is going to rain and thunderstorm here all weekend. I will intend to walk indoors on Saturday and Sunday. for 10 minutes at least once a day.

I walked for an hour & 40 mins. this afternoon. I saw a robin building a nest on top of a porch light fixture while his mate watched from a nearby tree, and a siamese cat persistently stalked him far below. Also met a friend and had a nice bit of conversation. Having a chair always with me is often handy.

I took a short walk this evening. Needed to go to someone's house and decided to walk instead of drive. There aren't many street lights so I used my flashlight so I would see a snake if there was one on my path (I live in Africa). It was cloudy, the clouds covering the moon. I saw the lights of the village about a half hour from me.

I'm working today and tomorrow and possibly Sunday. The 3-5 veggies (especially if it also includes fruits) should be very doable, as well as the walking one (I plan to take a couple clients to a festival tomorrow, so lots of walking outside!).

I'll do the last 3. It's going to be absolutely pouring rain until Tuesday so no outside for me. I have a 1 and 2 year old so it's hard for me to do things outside during the week too. *sigh*

I visited LOGOULD's page. I learned that she is a runner. I also learned that she has reached her goal and is learning to maintain her loss.

The last two aren't hard for me b/c I eat lots of veggies every day and I blog 2-5x/week. : )

You're on - I'll join you on all four....but I'll be running instead of walking outside.
1) Get outside and walk
2) Easy one ... since I'm very new to the team, I visited CAROLYN0107's page. She is a missionary nurse living near the equator in Africa. She got her user ID by adding the month and year that she joined Spark onto the end or her name. She is quite a fascinating and inspiring woman!!! Looking forward to getting to know her and some other members of the team very soon!
3) Eat 3-5 fruits and vegetables
4) Write a blog entry.
