My goal for May was to be down by two pounds but I gained 1.25. emoticon Onward to June - a new month! I hope to lose at least two pounds and have fewer desserts this time around!!

My goal was to loose 3 lbs and get out of the 190's. I ended up saying Goodbye to those 190's Forever And I have lost 3.8 lbs! there is 1 more day this month so maybe I can loose that .2 lbs and make it an even 4 for the month :) Yay!

So thankful.... 12lbs lighter just in time for summer weather... going up to 30 degrees today!

did not meet all my goals, so next month I will seriously try to get on the treadmill for 1/2 hour every day; continue to limit my dairy and learn to have wine/alcohol or chocolate in moderation and aim to be living in a clutter free home by the July longweekend!

My goal was to lose 3 - I lost 2.5, but have been a very bad girl the past 3 days as it has turned cold - snow! - and windy, can't get out, and I'm afriad I've eaten some things I shouldn't. Sigh. So the scale this morning says I'm back up 1.5. Maybe a couple of better days will get that back off - I will check back in on June 1 for the final count.

Well, I joined in the challenge halfway through the month so set my goal to lose only two pounds to finish out May and ended up doubling that with a four pound loss!! Hooray!! Going for another four in June!!

I just jouined this group today and with it being the 20th already, I don't have much time left. So I have set my goal to lose the 1/2 pound that I gained last week. If I lose that I'll be happy and anything over that will be gravy!

Just checking in... believe it or not, feel better about myself upon re-reading my goals.... don't have much computer face time...I have cut out alcohol, sugar, pasta and fries simply existing on egg omelets and salads with either salmon or chicken or turkey. Lost 5 lbs. (Still wish it were more, feels like it should be more! and I am ready to toss the scale as it hasn't moved in what seems like forever) Have just set up treadmill (20 years old, taken from parents house) so that I can walk and watch favourite television shows or Joyce Meyer simultaneously from the computer. Now I am aiming to do this for 20 mins a day every week day in hopes of losing another 5lbs and reaching my goal before end of month. Only 12 more days to go!

Well, I am a little late too, but I started this journey a week ago and haven't made a short term weight loss goal. So, I am putting myself down for 10 pounds for May. I weighed myself a week ago at 219 pounds. If I get to 210 or less, that will be awesome. Also, if I can see at least an inch lost off my waist I will be happy. I was on a trip for the first few days of May. I got home last evening. Weighed this morning and I was 251 pounds, excited because in a two week trip I did not gain anything.

Now during May I would like to lose at least 3 pounds, about one pound a week.

My goal for this month is to lose 1.5kg. This won't be easy but I would like to give myself a bit of a challenge. It is a lot harder for me to keep the calories down than exercising. I really enjoy to physically challenge myself but too often I go over my calorie range which makes it a lot harder to lose weight. So this month I will focus on staying in my calorie range!!!!

My goal for May is to stabilise my program. I am post-op after a huge fibroid and so have gained from easter, boredom through not being able to do anything, and of course through a host of other excuses - heck, by now I should know I am worth making an effort for, as are we all!

I would love to be 10lbs lighter going into June... so my goals this month are: to get on the treadmill for 1/2 hour every day; limit my dairy (move to skim milk) and no alcohol or chocolate for the next 30 days!

Easier said than done... but I am forever hopeful :)

My goal for May is 4 SOLID pounds to be gone. I have bounced around at an up and down 1 to 3 pounds every month for way too long! emoticon

M goal is stay on program. I have a road trip to go on this week and I'm learning to plan ahead. This way I won't be apt to grab for the wrong foods. When I'm home, I usually plan my whole week's menus. Traveling has a lot of contingencies that have to be met. So this is my challenge to meet for this week. My mantra will be, "I can do it, I can do it, I can do it!"

My goal is to lose another 4.8 lbs. April I lost 4.8, and I'm going to try and duplicate that. With spring here (ok it is suppose to be 38 tonight) I should be getting out more in the fresh air!
Starting weight will be figured on weighing in on Tuesday, 5/3.

Did not lose my goal for April so will again say 2 pounds for May. Starting weight is 168 pounds.

Hope this is realistic as we still have Easter Candy in the house along withIa Mothers Day Celebration at my youngest son's school and a baby shower that I know of this month.

My goal for May is 3 pounds and half an inch around my waist. That's pretty modest, but I plotted out a long-term pound-a-week schedule through the end of June, and I'm actually a pound ahead of schedule, but I'll stick with the goals on the schedule because I know I tend to plateau.

Although not part of this challenge, my other goal is to walk at least and hour a day, and more most days. I live in Reno, NV, currently, in the foothills of the Sierras, and the hilly walks are quite aerobic! Last summer and fall I did my 2-a-day walks, but got out of the habit during the winter. Getting back at it with my personal trainer, Lily - 4 year old Labrador Retriever who is very committed to her exercise program!

I know this is not a competition between members but a challenge for ourselves, but I feel pretty whimpy after reading the post of others. I wrote at the beginning of April that March had seen some out of control eating. Well Aprl itself was no better, maybe worse. I gained 5lbs!! Easter ham & desserts (which I no longer avoid---go figure) and a crawfish boil have left me with more weight and fluid retention.

May 1 wt: 228 Goal for May: 2 lb loss. May will include vacation time away from home so I will need to make wise choices and avoid the "what the heck! I've messed up so much, why try?" I plan to updae post atleast weekly to keep myself accountable.

Goal: 2 pounds

Hmmm, my impulse was to say 10 lbs.. 2 a week... Am I reaching for the stars? shooting myself in the foot so i have a reason to quit again? One program sent me a letter saying I could be down16 pounds by June. Unfortunately, that's doing around 1000 a day with shakes.. Not realistic for me. Deep breath, I'm shooting for 6 emoticon

My program that I was working on to lose weight ended in Dec. Since then I have put back on 16 of those darn old lbs. Even back in Dec., I wasn't at goal weight. I still had 80 some odd lbs to lose. I have been ill off and on since Jan. In and out of bed. Off my feet more. The arthritis has kicked in full force. I cannot take the meds that generally help you move around and reduce the inflammation.

The weather is starting to get better and I want so much to start some sort of activity again instead of being bed bound. I don't walk very well right now but I will. I am a very slow loser and so I will choose 2 lbs for the month of May. I challenge myself to walk more (have borrowed a walker to start with) To use the resistence band. Any time I am moving.... I know it will help.

Sorry I got carried away there. I am such a slow loser and would be so devestated/depressed if I can'at even lose a tiny amt for May. So THE MAGIC NUMBER OF LBS I WANT TO LOSE IS 2 LBS FOR MAY 2011! If I can do this I know that it would encourage me to increase it for May, because I want to be down those 16 lbs by the beginning of August 2011.

I am hoping to lose 2 pounds in May. I will be on a cruise followed by a couple days in Vancouver May 6-17. Although there will be lots of temptations, I'm hoping that all the extra walking and activity will help me hang in there and not cause too much damage.

I want to hit the 50 lbs lost mark, so as of this morning that means 7.8 pounds for May.

Original SW on 1/1/11 - 204.4 lbs.
Original GW on 9/1/11 - 134.5 lbs
Original GOAL ACHIEVED! 70 lbs. banished!

Some met their personal goals to lose pounds or inches in APRIL and others of us did not meet that goal. April is now behind us and another month is here!

For this MAY challenge we each set our own goal. Some of us use scales. Others keep track of inches or centimeters. For this challenge you set your own goal for MAY and then let us know how you're doing. Check in at the end of the month or more frequently if you wish. Remember that we're the SLOWest Loser team so do not make a goal that is too BIG or FAST! Be realistic.

I am traveling and will not be back to my scale until Thursday or Friday. I'll let you know my goal at that time. Are you in with me for this challenge? How many pounds or inches would you like to lose in MAY?
