I had to get up earlier, but failed to get to bed any sooner, so it was a short night. I still don't feel like my sleep was restful, so I'd give it a 2.

A lot better last night than the night before but still waking up at night. Doesn't help that my 7-year-old keeps sneaking into my room every night and tries to sneak into my bed. I walk him back over to his bedroom and tuck him back into bed every night at 3am. Quality of the sleep is just so so, not great.

I'm wondering if I have a sinus infection - just a lot of congestion (like frog in my throat) and a weird feeling behind my nose and eyes - anyway something is affecting me. I'm also having a lot of generalized pain that keeps me tossing and turning and having weird dreams. Not good quality sleep. But tonight is the last of the 7 days of keeping my sleep journal, so tomorrow I set my goals, and move on to week 2. Hoping this challenge gives me some improvement!

not good. I kept waking up. Once because I was hot and another time for seemingly no reason. I'm exhausted. I just took a nap for about 40 minutes. I feel a little better. Definitely going to bed early tonight!

I got into bed by 9:15. MDH didn't read very long when he got in bed and turned out the light earlier than usual. I fell asleep almost instantly, I was so tired and slept all night except for the times MDH got up to go to the bathroom. I got up at 5:45 to go to the bathroom and got back into bed and dozed until around 7:00. It was a rare wonderful night's sleep. Thankful.

Worked until 12 am. Got home at 12:30 am. Went straight to bed. Wide awake but eyes tired from staring at computer screen. Put on a dvd, but only listened to it. Was still not tired when episode was over, but decided not to watch another one. Roughly little past 1 am when I shut off tv. Daughter came in room several hours later. She had thrown up. Needed to get her and that cleaned up and get her settled down again. She slept with me the rest of the night. Alarm goes off at 6:30 but was so tired, I couldn't get out of bed until 8:00 which was the latest I could sleep in and still get to work on time. Tired but not as tired as yesterday.

Okay, laid down at 9:30. Watched a show with my son until 10:30. Then read a book for half an hour until I could not stay awake. Slept until 6.30 am. Do not believe it was quality sleep as I was pinned against edge of bed by my son when I woke up. Woke up very tired. Worked out for an hour, running. Was a very difficult run. Very tired all day with no "get up and go".

I got to bed early(ish) for the 2nd night in a row (10:45), read for about 1/2 hour and fell asleep. I woke at 3:30 to go to the bathroom then was wide awake after having an obviously stress-related dream. I laid down again from 6:30-7:30 and then did 30 minutes at low intensity on the elliptical trainer (1.25 miles, level 3). I have a meeting at 10:30 so really need to be awake for it. I don't know if I can get through the rest of the day without taking a nap but I'd really like to! I have lots to do and little time to do it in... and I feel like napping midday just perpetuates a cycle. on the other hand, my body doesn't always seem to allow that choice - I find myself staring zombie-like at the screen or just plain dozing off. I will do the other 60 minutes of my workout, probably in 2 sessions, not worrying about mileage or intensity. it does feel good to do it, and it IS about the long haul!

Last night started off better. I let my daughter crawl in with me. Read my book for a while. The sound of her heavy slumbering breathing usually does the trick and I was out in no time.

BUT, it was so hot. Even with the fan it was incredibly uncomfortable. She fussed and tossed all night and kept flopping all over me and waking me up. That is so unlike her, she usually picks a spot and doesn't move all night, so I figure the heat was getting to her. At one point in time after never being aloud to get consistent sleep, I actually lost it in my crabby sleep deprived state. This morning when I got up the first thing I did was turn on the AC. I was physically in bed for 8 and a half hours but whether or not I got more than a couple hours top of consecutive sleep is doubtful.

Started off bad. Intended on reading, but watched a video instead. Went to be around 1 am. Slept until 9 am. Kids started coming in and talking to me on and off sometime around 7 am. Had disquieting and unsettling dreams early in the morning. Many have been inspired by the morning news on the radio.

Just started this yesterday, but trying to sleep better for a while now.

Last nite got to bed earlier than usual (MADE myself turn off TV, etc) - but woke once during nite without opening eyes to check time, etc. Woke again about 4:00 and couldn't get back to sleep so got up. Very tired today at work.

I got 2 bed @ 10:30. After 11:00 b 4 getting 2 sleep. Woke up @ 3 2 help disabled hubby use his urinal, and again @ 4 2 pee myself. Never did get back 2 sleep after that. I was sleepy all day yesterday, and thought that I would sleep better last night. But 5 hours of interupted sleep is not enough 4 anyone. As we all know.

Happy weekend you all. Hope there are many hours of sleep with all of us combined.

went to bed by 11ish, but I had a little trouble getting my mind to calm down. Then I got woken up by a storm at 1:30 and I was awake until 2:30ish. Alarm went off at 7, I played the snooze game until 8. emoticon

If I pushed it, I might be able to say that I got 4 hours of sleep last night. But even the little sleep that I did get, I was aware of tossing & turning, having a headache, the AC kicking off/on, cars going down our street, ect......

In other words, not a good nite. I am going to a funeral today of a good friends who lost his life to cancer. This is probably part of the reason why I did not sleep all that well.

You all have a great day.

I had an odd night. I think I was halfway asleep most of the time, because I kind of remember moving, turning, telling my boyfriend it was too warm to cuddle, and such. I could barely get up this morning, though, and I have a headache that suggest I was woken up during REM sleep. Hm.

it's 7 am Saturday and have been up since 3:30 am on Thursday. I am so tired my head is buzzing like a bee hive in the summer. I have taken the sleep quiz and scored well. I have faithfully kept my sleep journal all week but I don't really know what to do with it. Lots'a information but I can't even discern a constant pattern. Any help would be appreciated! Felt sick so I went to bed early, wanting to get as much rest as I could if I was going to run back and forth between the bathroom and my bed. Slept for ten hours straight. I am a little impressed.

I slept very solid for a few hours last night, but I've been dreaming so much lately that I actually feel hung over and disoriented when I wake in the morning. I frequently feel like it takes me a while to sort out the reality from the dream state. It's been very unsettling.

I went to bed on time but had to listen to my relaxation CD just to clear my head of noise. I made the mistake of looking at a new client's books before bed, and YIKES! There are some ugly partnership issues there! It had my brain wound up way too tight, but the CD really helped and I ended up sleeping hard until 5:30.

Well I was in bed by 11 and asleep by 11:20 but woke up at 2:30 to use the bathroom. Went back to sleep and got at 5:15 which is my normal time with alarm. Need to make adjustments and not have so much fluid before bedtime so I can sleep thru the night.

Both my boyfriend and I were knackered by nine o'clock last night. We watched the news and were in bed by half past nine, sound asleep before ten! I slept for nine and a half hours solid; I was up early yesterday because I could not fall back asleep, but I must have been absolutely exhausted yesterday!

Was able to sleep 6 hours and was in bed by 11 but still not feeling rested. Will keep working on it.
