Stop procrastinating! Short term goal is to lose 10 lbs, and then another 10 lbs, etc, etc, until I've lost 100 lbs total, or until it's become obvious [healthwise] that I can stop and begin maintenance.

1st goal: get back into the habit of tracking food
2: build on fitness goals of the past year. Run longer and more than 3x a week.
3: Add a hill or speed workout 1x a week
4: Lose 10 lbs by Feb 1

Just do the work! Results will come.

I am ready to get back into a fitness groove as well, Netcat, and want to have one that can survive regardless of the weather which ruined my last established routine. It is hard to go to the Y when you cannot get safely out of the driveway or risk another excursion after making it safely to work and home. Establishing an at-home routine that I can use in addition to my Y routine or as the only hope when the weather or my schedule prevents my getting out in the evenings. I too am making this my weight-loss year, blending SparkPeople with the new Weight Watchers Point Plus program. emoticon

I thought that I had already listed my reasons for doing this challenge and my goals, but apparently not..... emoticon so here goes...:0

My reason for doing this is that it's a New Year... and a New Beginning, which means I need a big kick in the seat of my pants to get moving.....to jump start my year, so I joined SP 28 Day Bootcamp Challenge. I love challenges, and know that if I do my best, I will see results.

What do I hope to see from the bootcamp and what are my goals .....
1. To become more flexible
2. To lose at least 10 lbs this month.
3. To take at least an inch off my hips and two off my waist.....impossible? maybe, but that is what goals are for to get your mind to thinking......okay, how can I accomplish this.....:0

I just had a baby, so it's the perfect time to get back into a disciplined workout routine. Had a really long, hard bout with morning sickness that set me back in my physical endurance this pregnancy since I couldn't workout for several months (each day was about survival!). Afterward, it was mentally easier to give in to sweets, etc. since I was already on the downslope. Now I need to break those habits and get back to my old ones!!

I'm here to keep going on what I've accomplished in the last week and 1 day. I'm in a rush to get to my short term goal because of health reasons and a doctor pushing me to reach those goals quickly. So far, it's working and I want to keep it working so I can settle down and do it a little slower.

My biggest challenge is to find the challenge of the week and then be able to do the exercise or required steps to complete the week. I can do most exercises, but there are some that I will not try because I know my strengths and weaknesses.

But SP hasn't hurt me yet, so onward!

I am starting this challenge for me. I WANT to be able to feel good about my health and comfortable in my own skin again. I want to be healthy and vibrant again. My goal is to jump start my healthy year by doing 5 cardio sessions a week, drinking an 8 oz glass of water before each and every meal and snack, do at least three video sessions from spark people each week, and juggle my hectic schedule with more grace and energy!

I am here because I need to jump start myself again. I did great for a year or so and then took on two jobs and the pounds piled on. I am back to one full time job now and I know what it takes to get back into the groove. I like the bootcamps because they challenge me and it's a good way to just get going. So here we go...I know it works, I just have to put me first again.

Pilotgirl1 remember to do it for YOU. Not for anyone else. You have to want it for yourself. I use to try to lose weight because I had a wedding to go to or because I thought it would make my hubby happy. Truth was I wasn't happy with me. I have finally learned to put myself first. Boy that was hard to do. I know together with all these great people we can and will reach our goals !!!

I agree 100%. This is my thinking also. I just need a new challenge to start fresh.
It's been so miserably cold here that all I've wanted to do for weeks is eat and hibernate.

My goal is to get my clothes feeling a little looser. They are starting to get tight after all the holiday indulgences. It't time to start tracking my food intake on spark and also to start getting back on the scale once per week to track and tweek my progress.
