My goals for this 28 day challenge:
-Using my bodybugg, hit my calorie burn and steps every day
-Track EVERY thing that goes into my mouth
-Hit my protein goal every day
-Commit to taking the bootcamp class at my gym for the month of January
-Be kind to myself and understand that getting fit does not always mean great amounts of weight loss

I joined this challenge for the camraderie that a group brings.

My goals:
-Upping the fitness ante in 2011-I've plateaued while still working out 5-6 days per week and clean eating; need to amp the intensity using TurboFire/Chalene Extreme mix and I'm using Kettlebells. 10 lb goal by month end puts me around 2-3 lbs of my college graduation weight of 127.(I'm 5'8)

-Eating clean(er) - less sodium, continuing to eat organic, and I'm killing this can-a-day diet soda thing in 2011

-Consistency and balance for my overall health. I've had a couple of health 'concerns' that threw me for a loop, vitamin D deficiency and low iron- things that I must correct with doctor guidance.

I'm excited for this challenge with all of you!

My main goal is to get back into a healthy lifestyle to lose weight, cure/prevent disease, and learn to enjoy life. I love to cook and need to get into the habit of cooking healthy and eating at home more (freezer cooking!). I plan on using my iPad, which is with me all the time, to log in, journal, motivate me and track my progress. I have been a member for a while, but this is my first serious attempt to use it.

I am aiming to lose 100 lbs this year!
I will work out at least 5 times a week!
I will eat at home 5 nights a week min and cook ahead for lunches!

The reason I'm joining this challenge is because I tried it last year. I stuck with it every day until ONE day before completion, and got a concussion that prohibited me from any exercise on doctor's orders for 30 days.

I will absolutely make it through this time - and maybe avoid ice skating until I've done so. :P

My goals are:

1. Kicking fast food to the curb. I started this last Friday; my last Big Mac. I'm a fast food junkie - if the ingredients were medically addictive, I'd say I was an addict.

No more.

2. Toning, toning, toning. I want strength, stability and balance. I'd also love to improve my flexibility, but I've tried all my life and just don't know how to make it work, so . . . if anyone has tips. :P

3. Rediscover the person I was a year ago. Confident, healthy, strong. I relished in doing good things for my body. In spite of all the "flaws" I could see in the mirror - sure, my teeth are a little crooked, and my hair's a little thin -, I felt beautiful and all woman when I exercised.

4. Go back to commenting on ten new sparkblogs from team members every day. That made me feel so good, so connected, and I loved supporting my fellow champions.

I'm so excited that SparkPeople has another one of these geared up!

I'm 30 and just over 30 lbs over weight. I'm sick of ... feeling sluggish, not fitting into anything, the increase in health issues and just not feeling good in my skin. I've been a Spark member for over 2 years and haven't been for productive. I'm hoping that this challenge will bring that spark into my life.

I need to lose about 60 pounds. I know I will have more trouble if I think about it that way, so I want to lose 25-40 pounds by June 1, 15-20 pounds by March 1, 5-10 pounds by the end of January. As goals

- Cardio exercise 5 days a week starting at 15 minutes and working up to 45.
- 8 glasses of water a week.
- 1 dessert a week.
- Work up to 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables a day by adding 1 serving per day at a time.

My extreme goal for the year is to be able to run a 5K by the end of the year. Don't know if I will ever run one, but I would like to be able to do so. (I have the couch-2-5K podcasts to work with, but I am going to start more slowly than that.)

My goal is to loose 36 lbs by Aug. 2011 as I would like to be more healthy and I would like to be able to buy a private health insurance plan without being turned down because I am to big. In addition I would like to fit into more of my clothes and feel better about myself. Once I hit this goal then I will set new ones. I am here because I am morbidly obese and need to lose the weight. I am dangerously close to 400lbs and I want to be around to see my kids grow up (they're only 6 and 8). I want to be healthy and be able to move without being tired or worn out.

My plan is low carb real food eating which I plan to succeed with by meal planning. For my family, I am working on getting all processed foods out of the house (too tempting for me and not good for them either).

I will walk the kids home from their bus stop each day (a 20 minute walk for me since it's pretty far away) and I hope to incorporate more fun exercises when I am not so easily tired (maybe with the Wii or dancing with kids).

My goal is to lose weight and get BMI healthy zone... To also to get toned and in shape... I'll be forty in two months, and it has gotten me more health conscious than just thinking about it.... I know older folks in their 70's and 80's who can walk, dance with the best of us, I also know older folks who have a tough time getting around and are in lots of pain daily... I want to be like those who I mentioned first... I know being in shape has alot to do with our health later on... So that is my goal...

I dont have one of those cute little weight bar things, but my beginning weight is 187....

My goals is to shed the after-effects of my stroke and by April (70th birthday) to walk another 5 K. As I plan my escape from my 100 pound protection shied, my husband brings me a breakfast plate of Mangu (dominican mashed platinos made with butter), scrambled egges, and Yuca ( I am going to arrest him for sabatoge).

I am here because I have all ready lost weight with spark people, I think it was like 40 pounds, and I started a new job this year, and my exercise went out the window, and I ate myself in my desired emotinal state.

I am done....

I have so much to live for and if being healty only gave me one extra day it would be so worth it.

Also, I quit smoking last in August of 2010 and I think that the weight gain also has something to do with that.

I am recovering from a broken foot. I can resume normal activities with the walking air cast. So... My goal is to start moving again. The challenge is to see how much of my normal exercise and daily routine i can resume.

My muscles have lost tone, my body is flabby and my back and hips and knees ache from the boot foot being higher .

I need this motivation! Thanks SparkPeople.

This week's goal (I do my goals by week--helps me focus better) is to do all of the fitness videos, plus 30 minutes of cardio 6 days a week, follow my SP nutrition plan and lose 2 pounds.
