I resolve to walk around the block at work every day during my morning and/or afternoon breaks. It is a 13 minute brisk walk. By doing so, I will feel better, have more energy, clear my head from work distractions, and enjoy a few minutes of personal reflection.

I'm setting a goal of a minimum of 10 minutes a day of brisk walking, or indoor aerobics w/ weights if the weather's poor. I've been walking 20 minutes about 4 times a week, so I'd like to keep doing that. But 10 minutes is my absolute minimum to get in the habit of doing something every day! =)

I plan on developing some consistency in my workouts. Not just occassionally when I feel like it then going overboard on various activities. Perhaps if I strive for just 10 minutes a day consistency and a desire to do more will set in!

My fitness goal is to be able to comfortably walk 5 miles at 4 mile an hour pace by October 2013. To accomplish this I need to incorporate daily exercise and activity into my routine and stick with it!. Step 1: join and follow through with this challenge from 2/18 to 3/17. Step 2: increase my exercise to at least 20 minutes a day from 3/18 to 4/14 Step 3: follow 5k walk/run training for beginners

My main fitness goal for 2013 was to exercise for 10 minutes a day. I was doing really well up until I got the flu last week, so now I'm starting over.

I'm glad to be starting over again on February 18th as opposed to December 18th for my New Year's Resolutions. My Challenge Goal is to Not Give Up No Matter What!

Cheers,
Patty

I am new to SparkPeople and am very excited about all it offers. I am starting on a new diet and exercise program. I think 10 minutes a day is a good starting goal. I plan to use
WII Fit for most of it. Now if I can just figure out how to move around in here....

Like all the other posts I've read, I too need consistency. I start & stop. My goal for the week is to do at least 10 minutes of working out, but pushing for more. My large goal is to lose 40 pounds, but I will do it by making small goals along the way. I finally get it. emoticon

My goal is to get back into exercising starting in small moderations by doing 10 minutes of exercise at least 5x a week. Adding along the way 10 minutes more each time to my routine until I build up to 50 minutes a day which is recommended for weight lose. I plan to continue my journey with exercise incorporated into my weight lose plan & making it a life long commitment.

My goal is to start a daily exercise routine. I plan to walk for 10 minutes a day. I will start out Monday - Friday and build myself up to 7 days a week. It is difficult to walk with my excess weight. I have knee problems. I do not want to over whelm myself. I want to build up to 2 - 3 10 minute walks by the end of the summer.

Starting today, my goal is to incorporate a minimum of 10-minutes of daily exercise. I've been pretty good in the past to exercise a few days a week, so this will be a great habit to develop and let the longer sessions compliment the commitment.

Hi, everyone!
My biggest challenge is consistent, physical activity and my hopes are that by starting small with only a pledge of 10 minutes per day I can build in that consistency in my life. My goal is to do 10 minutes, 7 days per week and build on that until I am at a level that will help me become healthier and lighter.

I'm much like LXX here before me. I tend to think 10 minutes isn't enough. I know it in my head but I don't always listen to my head.

My goals for the week are to walk , either indoors with WATP or on a good day outide for at least 10 m inutes 5 days for the week. I can't keep up with the DVD yet but with practice I know I will increase my speed.

I tend to be a bit All or Nothing and sometimes if I can't fit in at least a 1 hour gym workout I give up and do NOTHING!!

I'm trying to find moderation and therefore consistency by committing to at least 10 mins of exercise a day.
If I don't make a class at the gym I can do AT LEAST 10 mins and remember something is better than nothing!

THANKS!

My biggest challenge has been consistency. I will get started on something, go full throttle, then run out of gas very quickly. I like the idea of simply starting with 10 minutes per day, then building from that momentum. I pledge to do SOMETHING for 10 minutes per day, EVERY DAY... even when I don't feel like it.

Hi! My goal is to walk or ride my exercise bike everyday for at least 10 minutes. I had my weight down to 186 from 227, but the last 3 months have seen the weight creeping back on. I WILL NOT BE OVER 200 POUNDS AGAIN!

Good luck to everyone on this journey!

My goal is to do 10 minutes of exercise every day, by using short video workouts for the days where longer workouts (walking, biking, strength routines) aren't happening. Preferably in the morning, but as long as I do them ;)

My goal is to develop a habit of exercising everyday. My goal is also to track at least 10 minutes of exercise everyday. My exercise consists of walking the dog and playing Wii games but I'm not consistent so I hope this team will help me to stay on track. Likewise I will encourage others to reach their goals

My goal is to get from an under 225 pound frame to a 175 pound frame. I have been trying to figure out what my goals are and I think I know what I want in life. And that is to be thin. I want to be the athletic size I was in high school. But I want to be able to say I did it And be happy and keep myself at that weight. Not sure what else should I say. But I do a lot of walking and running around. And i do deal with a lot of stress which I'm still working on that right now. With that being said I feel that I will be successful.

Started this challenge and then life got in the way!! First all the holidays and then was sick most of January. But, am going to get going. My goal is to lose 25 pounds this year - that is only 2 a month. Might as well throw in the towel if I can't do even that much.

So this first week, my goal is to exercise at least 10 minutes a day, drink 4 glasses of water each day, and take my vitamins and calcium. I usually carry them in my pocket all day, but my son tells me they do not work my osmosis!! Darn, would be so much easier that having to acutally swallow them.

My goal is to survive this week. Every time I try to get healthier, I go through the same thing. I hit about the one month point and then I begin to feel sick all the time. I get queasy, I can't eat I can't get out of bed and finally I give up and go order Chinese food and then I feel better. Seriously - I'm not joking. It's like my system simply can't function unless I eat like s***

So, I'm back at that point now. Breakfast this morning went from really healthy food to toast and organic peanut butter and I'm still not sure I'm even going to keep that down. Lunch isn't happening at all. My workout isn't happening at all unless i get magically better by tonight. Back to bed for the afternoon now!

Hi! Week one of the challenge and my goals are pretty straight forward when it comes to fitness. I am on week #3 workout #1 of a C25K(Couch 2 5k) beginning running program. So, that makes up my workouts for 3 days a week. On the rest of the days I plan to get at least 10 minutes of a cardio type workout like walking, dvd's, etc. Glad to be here!

My goal is to walk or cycle every day for at least 10 minutes. I don't know why developing the daily goal has been so difficult for me. I exercise 4-6 days a week, but I haven't taken the next step to commit to daily exercise. Now is the time.

Hi everyone.

My goal for the week is to commit 10 minutes a day to exercise. I accomplished the goal today and will keep making an effort to do so each day this week.
