Our guys for the most part don;'t mind the snow, if its having snow squalls or a blizzard, then they really would rather be in the house where it is warm...If we go out for a walk during the winter time, we always put booties on to protect them from the salt on the streets which can really be damaging to their feet.

My two dogs are always "ready" to go for their walk, but lately, it's been a little colder than they are used to. As soon as I open the door and they go out, they stand there and just look at me and I have an idea they're thinking of going back inside until I come out--then they're fine. So, we make a few quick walks in a day and when the temps are at the highest or at least comfortable for all of us!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was not as cold today as predicted (it was 17 degrees, whoo hooo!). Hunter had some extra energy to burn off, so in addition to our normal walks we spent some time at the dog park this afternoon. It was our first trip out there in the snow and he loved it. Plenty of dogs to play with and snow to dig in. When we got home, he took an hour long nap before dinner, and has now been napping since 6 p.m. I just hope he sleeps through the night!

Mine will walk in about any weather too. And for some reason, I am more motivated about walking in the fall and in the winter. Go figure!

I would love a walk like that. Unfortunately I have to drive 30 minutes in order to get anything close to that. My two older dogs don't like the cold snow on their feet and hop around on three feet; my boxer doesn't seem to mind although with her short fur I worry about her getting too cold. We tend to be fair weather walkers (25 degrees or warmer).

My dog and I enjoyed a beautiful walk today. I'm very fortunate to have a dog that loves to walk no matter the weather conditions. Today's conditions were perfect. It was snowing a little bit and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. I love how the trees were covered with snow. Today I truly enjoyed our one hour walk and it was well worth it.
