1) remember to drink 8 glasses of water each day
2) limit my alcohol intake on Friday night when I know in advance I will be at a party
3) walk at least 45 minutes both Saturday and Sunday.

The reason I will achieve these goals is because I am becoming discouraged at a scale that is not moving. I need to focus on these goals instead of letting myself get bummed and pacifying myself with a high calorie dinner at my favorite restaurant.

I'm halfway.

1. Walk Tyler 30+ mins both days (I need to find a path that's 2 miles!). LOTS of walking!
2. Do strength training 20 mins 1 day: nope
3. Finish at least 2 other things I started over spring break & haven't finished: just 1, but I did get some errands run

Why? B/c I feel less stressed when I walk a lot and accomplish things on my "lists". And right now, I need less stress!

*5K run challenge
*Bootcamp challenge
*Add in strength training 3 times a week
*Run the entire 5K & beat my first time
*Organize my house
*Lose 25+ & be down 3 sizes by October 10

I feel good about the weekend challenge. I drank my water (early enough so I didn't have to get up in the middle of the night), played with Oreo, and somewhat weeded my garden. Didn't do any of the strength training, hip and shoulder were still a little tender from Friday.

Ok, I blew it. Well, I did 2 out of the 3.

1. Clean out the fridge and pantry because I know there are things in there I should not eat because they are not healthy. DID IT

2. Go to Trader Joes and Sprouts to get my groceries because I always make healthier food choices when I shop there. DID IT

3. Use the treadmill both saturday and sunday because the exercise is good for me. NOPE

Not sure if I did the challenge the right way bit I did get everything accomplished!!!
I will do my cardio either Sat or Sun..hopefully both----I will do it because it is for me and I can take myself away from hubby for 1 hour to do this for me. we are both off this weekend, that's when it is hard for me, I want to be with him and vice versa....

I will get my water in this weekend...always easy for me when working but I do have to think about it when I am home....I will do this because the paler the better...LOL.

I will get my ipod going(buying it today)..so I can do the podcast of the couch to 5K program and work on staying under my max HR..I will do this because I want to burn fat and not lose my muscle...

o.k. - how did you all do???

List 3 things you will do this weekend that will help you move towards a healthier you in 2008 ....then state the reason you WILL achieve them!

1. Got my Saturday & Sunday dog walks in, despite the snow on Sunday!! ARRGGHHH
2. Drink my water! Yep got 'er done but had to get up multiples of times Sunday night BECAUSE I waited too darn late!!
3. Got my weekday meals planned & grocery shopped to support having everything ready to go!!

I do feel good about everything this morning - hoping that you are doing the same!

here was my goal/challenge for myself:

1. walk the "girls" Fri/Sat/Sun for our 3km walks. Gonna be a nice weekend for it.

2. Work on eating on purpose. Too much eating because I am bored and it is showing up on the scale.

3. Go and play with my horses. Have not done anything with them since March 14th, miss them and being outside.

And here is how I did:

1. did not walk the dogs Fri - lots of excuses for that, in town too long, was cold out blah blah blah - but did walk them Sat and Sun.

2. Start my food journal again (stopped over a yr ago) and started measuring all food.

3. got to see my horses for a few minutes on Friday and gave them a treat, and spent an hour with them Sat brushing and fussing with them.

so not bad overall.

This morning I was in a rush.

As for my goals this weekend.

~I am getting a massage tonight.
2~ Keeping up with my walking with killer and also playing with him. Just throwing his toy is a great work out for him also.
3~ Watching how much time I will be spending on the computer.
Oh to top it off drinking my water.


It is time for me to let go of my crutch and start to try for a new me.

One step at a time!

Love these weekend challenges.
1) Water, water and more water
2) Work in garden

and I have 4) do my strength training Sat. I tripped on my walk this morning and hurt my elbow and hip so I wasn't able to strength train today.

I will drink more water and i know i will achieve this because i got rid of all my diet soda.
I w3ill get more exercise because i am going to be cleaning and i dance to music.
I will eat more fruits and i know i will acheive this because we went and got fruit this past couple of days.

Okay, the reason I (hopefully) will achieve them is becasue I am sick of stepping on the scales and seeing a higher number, I am sick of picking out something to wear and it is too tight, and I owe it to myself to make a better effort!!!!

So I have been stuck at home for 2 wks with a sick 10 yr old, and eating out of boredom. She is doing well enough now, that I will be able to get out with the dogs this weekend. This challenge will be my motivation/goal so that I actually do it:

Last weekend I did really good Friday and Saturday... but Sunday I went out of town and blew it for the whole 4 days I was gone!

Okay, going to try again!
1. Stay after Physiotherapy today to go on the treadmill there. And walk at least 1 of Sat/Sun with Brandi.

2. Drink at least 10 glasses of water a day.

3. Not eat anything after 8pm (this is my AWFUL snack time where I totally blow it!)

1- Get at least 8hrs of sleep each night, I'm pooped this week and def. need some sleep.
2-Be sure to get my water in as well as my fruits and veggies

1. I will let my personal trainer Jasmine get me away from the computer any time she asks to play.
2. I will find new ways to play drag the string.
3. I will log every bite I eat.
I laugh when I play with Jasmine, and that makes me feel so good. It could get boring drag a string down the hall, and I need the mental stimulation of creating something new. Writing every bite makes me more aware of what I'm eating.

1. Get my walking in Saturday & Sunday with my two personal trainers (Jen & Riley love weekend walks because they are longer than weekday walks!)
2. Drink my water! This is habit M-F but still needs weekend tune up work!
3. Plan out my weekday meals (get the snacks portioned & packed) and make sure I have all the ingredients so I have no

I love the way I feel about myself when I stick to a plan! Not only have I accomplished something tangible (I can see the differences!) but by the end of this year, everyone else WILL see results (and all my neighbors will say 'what happened to the fat lady that use to walk those two dogs?').
