I add basil to my salads. Yum. I also use other herbs to liven up lettuce such as cilantro, sage, thyme. No herb is safe from my salads.

I had this@ A family cookout recently, Sounds strange, But is a great , salty/ sweet refreshing combo: Cubed watermelon sprinkled with feta, and chopped basil. MMMM....Other then what's stated , can't think of anything else...Caprese salad, or mozzarella , basil, and tomatoes sprinkle of Salt and pepper , evvoo,(extra virgin olive oil) crusty bread is a summer time fave! OOO... pasta salad with these is so... good and simple! emoticon You could easily sautéed up this up with some garlic add some spinach or swiss chard and have a quick easy fresh hot meal too. Did anyone say make your own pesto?

Maybe in a salad with pepper, cheese and vinegar, I like balsamic. I usually used dried.

Chopped and put on homemade pizza.

In eggs.

How about in some cream cheese or yogurt for a dip with other veggies.

On grilled chicken with onions and mushrooms and peppers.

Pasta.

Happy cooking.

There is very little that doesn't taste better with basil. Just made bruschetta with finely diced Roma tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, salt, cayenne, and julienned basil. It was great. It is my favorite fresh herb. It's great tossed into any pasta dish.

I will have to try to find the recipe, but..you make a little sauce of a tad brown sugar and balsamic vinegar (I can't remember the 3rd ingredient) and reduce on the stovetop. Then, drizzle it over fresh berries and torn basil. Delicious!

I make pesto (can use walnuts when pine nuts get too expensive}. I then put small amounts in an ice cube tray and freeze for later

I love fresh basil torn up in fresh tomato and monserella cheese. Plus when I have a lot I will dry some to use later and also cut and freeze in ice cubes to use later

Keep on track
